... had two tuna fish sandwiches on toasted bread. The crunch one makes when biting into a toasted sandwich is so satisfying.

... am getting real pissed with my roommate. Something else else happened yesterday to get him upset at me. When I saw he was upset, I asked "Are you OK? Did I do something to upset you?" he snapped at me "You aren't always right. And I'm not going to be told I am wrong." Since then he has stayed mostly in his room and has been giving me the silent treatment.

...bought a new garbage disposal unit and new pipes for under my kitchen sink. A neighbor is going to install all that. And I'm waiting for the plumber to clean out a clog in the drain. Isn't home ownership grand???

...went to my friend Tom's mother's wake. Tomorrow is the funeral. I've been asked to be a pall bearer. RIP, Doris. We'll take good care of your boy.

...went to my best friend Tom's mother's funeral. Also today, another friend, also named Thomas (though he goes by "Thom"), also lost his mother.
Just for some background, Tom is my friend who took me in after I had a fire in my building. Thom is the friend whose weight loss inspired mine.
It's been a very emotional week.

... stood outside my new office building in Philadelphia, looking up at the skyline, thinking, "Wow... how does the Batman swing off of a building on the Bat-rope without slicing off his hand, ripping his arms out of socket, or... if he's really lucky... winding up just dangling at about the 20th floor?"
I guess that's why he's the Dark Knight... and I work in an office building.

... plan to go to an anti-Prop 8 rally.
Went to the rally despite the overcast skies. It was pretty good. There were a lot of people there. I'd say at least a thousand. Three of the Massachusetts US Representatives spoke at the rally. (Not Barney Frank though)

...woke up with some energy for the first time in like three weeks. Business and the first few weeks of being really cold drain me; hopefully I'm getting back to normal (it helps I finally got back to the gym last night after almost two weeks off).
