. . . laughed at Quis' Wonder Woman doll find. And they say boys won't play with girl action figures! Such a picture you created for me. sigh I'm sorry you aren't doing so well, cleome. Oh, and I accidently bit into an earthworm this evening. I thought my husband's fishing bait was left over raspberries.

That info creates a whole new picture! Did/do you have adventures with her? All of my statues/figures go on a shelf or in a box. Boring.

... bought $75.00 worth of books today. (that turned out to be 4 books: Pride and Prejudice and zombies; The Truth with jokes by Al Franken; the unoffical Guide to Making Money on Ebay; & Enemies & Allies a Superman/Batman novel set in the 1950s)
I bought these books because when I bought my washer/dryer, Sears refunded me the delivery cost. However, they don't send a check that you can deposit into the bank. Instead they send you a MasterCard gift card for the amount of the refund. The same thing happened with my cell phone.
I could have used it for groceries, but saw a person trying to use one in my grocery store and having trouble using it. SO, books it was, I decided.

At the time I was a teller in a bank and I had her (and a Dr. WHo TARDIS bank) at my window. At the time, I also had a Red Tornado (now missing). When you squeezed Reddy's arms together, his legs spun around.

...looked in vain around the house for a cat-safe zone in which to display more action figures (or anything displayable, really). Failed utterly.

Found a really good price for a round trip flight to NYC and tried in vain to find a reasonable hostel with 7 open days. Try again tomorrow, then maybe book the flight. Or not. Sometimes the fun is in the planning. I'm getting too old for implementation. lol

(Funny, I love the TARDIS but I've only enjoyed a couple of the Dr. Whos over the years, including the current one.) Anyway . . . decided to check my action figures to see if any of them have any action!

Found out a friend of mine from college died of cancer a few months ago. We had lost touch with one another and now I regret that I didn't maintain contact. She was always so full of life, I can't believe she's dead. It really saddened me, like of all people, she shouldn't have died.

Picked up my son from camp, visited a sick friend in the hospital, went to the mall with my kids, went to the comic shop, took a nap, then went to Walmart for groceries. It's the first day of my 10 day (counting weekends) vacation, and I'm beat!

...managed to get quite a bit of weeding and trimming done in the yard before it got too hot out. Next up: making some "pickled" green beans (just string beans steamed and cooled in homemade vinegar dressing) and going to a friend's pot luck; <strike>;where I plan to keep so busy eating that I can't discuss politics with anyone</strike>.

...discovered that the wax seal on the toilet is leaking. I'd really like to just call a plumber but we do everything ourselves here. ugh. It doesn't look like too bad a job for two people, one of whom will actually know what he's doing, but I'm worried that the floor beneath might be rotted. Ugh ugh ugh.

. . . finished hacking away to beautiful bushes in the front of my house because I'm tired of having to trim them every year (my OCD husband has donkeys about anything not 'trimmed'!) I have no idea what I'm going to put in their place. sigh . . . put off harvesting my 'winter' crop of garlic, yet again. They should stay till August, I'm told. But the thick onion like shoots are really uglying up the front of my house!

(Candle, have you thought about some kind of ornamental grass? It seems to be pretty popular around these parts, though some varieties are more invasive than others.)
...roughed out a couple of specs for a web design, by hand, to be delivered to the designer later-- if she ever surfaces.
