Today I proved to myself that I still cannot function with only four hours sleep!
It's been a long time since I did that.

One cannot get drunk on Diet Coke and Atomic Fire Balls.

The weather is gloomy but no rain, thus far. To take a bike ride, or not...? I can't decide.

I've been trying to get on my bike for a couple of weeks now. But I work shitty long hours and it always rains on the weekends...

Yesterday, we walked our neighbors' Pit Bull mix, and then drove him to a "pet motel" for them while they were out of town unexpectedly. A really sweet dog, and the trip went of without a hitch. But the cats were sniffing mr_cleome and myself very suspiciously when we got home from our errand.

There is a stained glass window in my church that depicts the Adoration of the Magi. From just the right angle, one of the Magi (Balthazar, I think) bears a passing resemblance to a Dominator.

I had the following exchange with a library patron today:

She: "Why is my book due on a Saturday? Today is Friday."

I: "We're closed two weeks from today, so it's due the following day."

She: "Why are you closed?"

I: "November 11th is Veteran's Day."

She: "What does that mean in English?"

I: "It's the day we remember those who have served in the military."
