Its Autumn here in Northern Alberta, still warm though, around 8C in the mornings and up to near 20C in the afternoon...which leads to a little story -

Around a week or two ago a new supervisor was hired here. He is not from the area however, he is from the American Virgin Islands.
His first day on site was a balmy 11C to start the day. He was utterly frozen, had never been so cold in his life and was wearing longjohns to stay warm (and he has worn a pair every workday since)
So, his nickname is now "Longjohn"

It was rather dark and gray today for the first time in ages. I was pleased.

Still no rain, though.

Still raining over here Should be that way until November.

The tree in my backyard is dumping heaps of leaves into my pool... I spent over an hour this afternoon cleaning them out... amazing how something that was bringing me such joy a few weeks ago is now something I can't wait to be done with...

Ironic to be hearing Orange Pekoe's Heavenly Summertime on iTunes right now.

Well, I don't know if I'd call this summer "heavenly," but at least I was employed through almost all of it. That's something.

Autumn kicked in the front door today. Cold and wet, and Power Boy has a space-cold. I stayed inside all day.

Been cloudy. Haven't noticed any rain, though. Still dry. The sun pops out now and again.

A scattering of leaves here and there show color, but nothing like the homelands. I miss autumn in the Hudson Valley.

Yesterday was the first long-sleeve shirt dayof. The season. Fitting for equinox. Today is a smidgeon warmer, but not much.

86 degrees, my FAT ASS! *hurls ashtray*

I am freezing my knockers off sitting in front of the heater.

And I hear it is supposed to hit 90 the rest of the week before cooling back down to the 70s Sunday. *hurls multiple ashtrays*

The cold weather is here

No cold weather here in Georgia yet, but some leaves are just starting to change.

Sweatshirt and sweatpants tonight! It's supposed to hit the 80s again soon (BAH!) and then dip to the 50s (RAH!)!

Since a vicious cold front blew through Friday night, it's been lows in the 40s and highs in the 50s! Should be creeping back up to lows in 50s/highs in 70s, but overall very nice!

Oops! I've been making a lot of double and triple posts lately.

Since ya like it, I'll keep 'em both. Suits the subject, doesn't it? Rake up the leaves, and in no time you have to do it again.

It's nice to see it on both shades of background too. It POPS slightly more on the gray.

Ah, but I say the second. October's Bright Blue Weather, y'know!

Everyone loves Autumn!

We have some decent autumn coloring here and there, especially on campus. I don't remember it being so good out here last fall. Maybe it was the rain, or maybe last year just lowered my expectations for this year.
