 Is Dave Cockrum any better?

Anybody get any info on the health status of Dave Cockrum? I heard he had been in hospital (heart attack? diabetes?)
He was the best of the Legion's artists during the 70's - but i hope he will be able to get up and about and back to his drawing board again.

He and his wife are attending HeroCon in North Carolina this weekend. So I think he's doing better. Paty (his wife) posted this on another topic at Nightscrawlers - dave's health is still up and down. He started dialysis and it is working wonders, but the diabetes kicks in every once in a while and starts a pocket of infection. this kind of thing landed him in the hospital again a couple of weeks ago for ten days! He is home now and doing well again... but diabetes is a nasty, sneaky disease and hits when you think everything is going well... like a hidden land mine.
hopefully, now that dave is on continual antibiotics, that won't be a problem again. and with good weather of summer coming in, his spirits always pick up as he eyes the pool! LOL... which gets opened next week... a bit late but better late than never!
Should he do any artwork again for Marvel, we will be sure to let the fine folk at Nightscrawlers know what and when to look for it, never fear!

I'd like to tell Dave Cockrum that I've enjoyed his work for years. I was curious if Colossus would've been Superboy/Ultra Boy class in power had he been a Legionnaire as initially planned. Thanks.
