I thought Ernie Pantusso was Coach.

One of the absolute classic "Coach" moments in Cheers (from the pilot IIRC): Coach answers the phone, listens for a moment and asks everyone in the bar, "Is there an Ernie Pantusso here?" Sam says, "That's you Coach." "Speaking." Coach says into the phone. Ah, da classics. What a great show! So, Gary...is the games section back up? I needa fix man!

Gary don't know if this has to do with the upgrade but it probably does have to do with the merging of forums.
All of our previous discussions on HeroClix and Pocket Heroes are gone. I cannot find them in any forum. Shouldn't they be in The Legion?

If you're using the search function, it may be out of synch with the moved threads. I'll bump up all of the Trophy Room threads so that everyone can see that they are there.

It wasn't just the search function. I couldn't get to some of the pages because of the 'Hack' error. On top of that, I couldn't get into the FTP last night to fix the 'Hack'.

It looks like I missed at least two corrupt member files. I thought I went through them all, but after awhile it was becoming monotonous.

I just noticed the new disclaimer at the bottom of each page. Is that just CYA, or were you asked to put that there?

No more "All posts are © 2004 their respective authors." then?

Do I need to begin the "Support Kon in a KC Costume" compaign?

I actually like Grey's new wording and will probably adapt what I use for my site to match. Good job Steve.

We're now 6.7. 1! Yay! In case you cared: Version 6.7.1 is a maintainance release in which a lot of small but noticeable items have been attended to. The FAQ has been updated with over a dozen new entries, and has been given a more logical question order. The new entries will be added to the bottom of your current FAQ during the upgrade, but the existing questions will not be reordered. If you have not made any changes to your board FAQ, you should overwrite vars_faq.cgi with a copy from the zip file to get the improved default FAQ order. Be careful - overwriting vars_faq.cgi will delete any custom FAQ entries that you have made.
The exporter has also been updated to make importing into the Eve platform faster.
The following items have been fixed: - The QuickReply box on private message pages now properly obeys your signature preference. - A "profile not found" error is no longer thrown if a user profile is deleted while the user is browsing the board. - Ignore and Buddy lists no longer disappear after being submitted. If your ignore or buddy list disappeared, it will reappear after the upgrade. - Misc. XHTML compliance fixes. - Added the user birthdate to the new registration / edit profile confirmation screen. - If a user has chosen the email form contact method, the email icon is now shown with his or her posts. - Moderator notifications of new posts were not properly appending the forum name in some cases. Note that you may need to view your Email Wordlets and update the notification emails manually. - Selecting one (and only one) group that may use avatars will no longer cause an error on the registration form. - Users may now review the registration agreement if registration is suspended. - Recent Visitor data from the Accelerator was not being properly imported for forums with more than one digit. - Moved the floodcheck when creating a new topic to ensure that accidentally forgetting the topic subject during the first submit will not cause a floodcheck error once the problem has been corrected by the user. - Unusual configurations can no loger cause forums that are not visible to suddenly be searchable. - The list of moderators in each forum could change on each submit of the Moderator Settings control panel. Moderators are now sorted by member number. - Control panel member search was not finding users by birth date correctly. - Control panel member search was not finding users that registered prior to Y2K, when a non-Y2K-compliant version of UBB was being used. - Control panel member search was not properly detecting whether or not a user had current posts. - Control panel member search Inactive Member Quick Searches were returning active members. - Non-alphanumeric characters that were on their own lines in the Reserved Names lists are now properly seen and can be used to filter names. - The registration date is now properly recorded when admins create a user profile through the control panel. - Ensured both the login name and public display name of users added via the control panel are added to the reserved name list. - Email addresses of users added via the control panel must now be unique if the administrator has chosen to require unique email addresses in the Registration Settings area. - Users that are registered via the control panel will now be properly welcomed as the last member if the moderation queue is enabled (and the user is not put in the queue manually when registering). - The default topic view is now properly set when editing a forum in the control panel. - The breadcrumb links at the bottom of the control panel were not Wordlets.

Hmmm... I was hoping the "last posts" island would be fixed to update as regularly as the last posts column in/beside the front page reference to the individual forums.

Although there is a 6.7.2 soon to be released - We've begun working on a new message board product that will attempt to combine the strengths of both of our current downloadable message board products (UBB.classic and UBB.threads).
This new product, yet to be named, is being written in PHP and will run on a MySQL 4 database. It will replace both UBB.classic and UBB.threads and be Infopop's sole downloadable message board. UBB.classic and UBB.threads license-holders will be able to download the next generation product when it becomes available, so long as they have a current member area subscription for their product. We will also be ensuring that versions of UBB.classic and UBB.threads remain available in the member area well beyond the release date of the new product.
Finally, the new product is not simply an upgrade from UBB.classic and UBB.threads. This is an entirely new product and, as such, moving to it will require a data import from your existing message board. If you have a valid UBB.classic or UBB.threads license, however, you will not have to purchase a new license to use the new product!
Consolidating our development efforts on one downloadable message board should result in a better overall product, improved support, and faster development cycles. We'll release more details about the new product over the coming months, but the current projection is for a Spring 2005 release date.
To summarize:
-- The new product is being written in PHP, running on MySQL 4.
-- Your existing UBB.threads or UBB.classic license will apply to the new product.
-- New development on UBB.classic and UBB.threads will cease, with the exception of bug fixes.
-- Old versions of UBB.threads and UBB.classic will remain in the member area, even after the new product is released.
-- If you move from UBB.classic or UBB.threads to the new product, you will actually have to import your data to the new message board (it is not simply an upgrade). This means some settings/information from your current board may be lost (because not all of features/settings will be the same).
-- Release of the new product is not expected until Spring 2005. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'll definitely decide if we're going to upgrade after I see the finished product. We may remain UBB.classic 6.7.2 forever.
