Its a port-scan thing as I understand it. Which basically means that, rather than you having to do something to get/activate it, you have to do something to STOP it getting in. If you have a firewall that lets you close specific ports (or, as is recommended, close them all then open the ones you need), make sure port 4444 is closed, and 69 & 135 if you're not (intentionally) running programs that use those ports.

Later, after I found out about all this, I updated it and it caught it. At any rate, updating shouldn't make things worse if you can do it.
