Spamming was halted before it began. As is the policy in regards to the Nature Boyz.

What does this "spamming" mean? I know you can get it in email, but what does that have to do with this message board? Was it something that can be done by accident/virus?

How do you stop it from happening?

This thread was mysterious until I took a look at Rob's boards again, earlier tonight.

Somebody with the ID over there of "XlegionX" re-posted, without my consent (needless to say), a long postmortem that I wrote about Rob's stupidity, after he posted about the LW.net'ters in a drunken rant on his board. It heads up a thread over there entitled "One final 'F.U.' to Rob."

I decided to not post that piece on LW.net, but instead linked to it here .

The piece I wrote mentions the Web address "www.legionworld.net". I gather from having read some traffic, there and here, that some are thinking that this gave the Nature Boyz the means to come over here and (apparently) spam and disrupt.

If anyone does actually think that -- well, that's a few bricks shy of a full mental load. The Boyz, including LLance, were going to find this venue sooner or later. I'm surprised it took them two full months.

It does seem to have been a serious assault, as new registrations for LW.net have been turned off for the time being.

In any event, Nightcrawler has asked the question at the head of this thread generally, and my name has been suggested to have some connection with whoever-the-hell "XlegionX" is (including by Eryk Davis Ester, still inexplicably posting over there).

So it obliges me to say again: I haven't posted on Rob's boards since the mass exodus. And I don't know who the hell this person is who re-posted an essay of mine over there without my consent.

I apparently misconstrued what EDE was saying about this brouhaha, over on Rob's boards. That is, how he was phrasing it.

He was, in fact, telling the parties there that I was not this "XlegionX," whoever that may be. When I read that, I misunderstood some of his references, as to who was who, how he knew about it, and whom he'd told all this to already. I stand corrected.

I for one trust you guys tremendously after today.

Well, the mystery of XlegionX may have been solved. We'll have to determine how to deal with that later.

wow...I remember that someone asking us about LLance...I believe that it was in the Legion thread...the thread was created by "ain't got no penguins"...so I made a reply saying that I dunno and no idea of what happened to LLance.
