Here's a fun little game we played at a work meeting today as an icebreaker. Write three statements about yourself. Two should be true. One should not be true. Everyone else gets to to guess which statement is the lie. First one with the correct answer gets to go next. I'll start:

1) My first car was a 1976 Plymouth Duster.

2) My favorite movie is "The Never Ending Story".

3) My grandfather was a hobo.

He Who Wanders is correct. I hate"The Never Ending Story" and sometimes refer to it as the never ending movie.

1) I was once ejected from a chain store for pointing a set of wire cutters at a security guard.

3) The song "Day After Day" (aka "Finding Out About You") by Badfinger gets stuck in my head with alarming regularity, and I'm actually rather fond of it.

I did once go to a demo at Safeway, back in my Union days. Somebody brought along wire cutters so we could all cut up our Safeway cards in front of a photographer who'd come from the AFL-CIO house organ to cover the event. The security guy scolded us for bringing "a dangerous weapon" into the store, so we just went outside quietly and did the cutting/picture-taking in the parking lot.

No brandishing, no ejection, no harm, no foul.

I actually have seven nephews, a niece and a grand-niece--nine in all.

And before anyone asks, our choir wears academic hoods when we sing certain services, such as Evensong. It's mostly an English tradition, but some American choirs do it also. And so, I decided to buy myself a master's hood (And yes, I have the degree!).

Wow, and I thought the answer was zero because I couldn't recall you ever mentioning having brothers or sisters! I thought you were an only child!
