OK, first off profuse apologies to Future since I'm so blantanly copying his game here, but I'm enjoying the Legion version hugely so it only seems fair that the Titans get their turn too.

So it's exactly the same principal as Future's Legion version. Male/female teams of Titans competeing in various tests minus their powers. Training and natural skills/abilities still count but nothing other than that. Points are awarded on a weighted basis, the lowest total score at the end of each round leaves the game. I'll probably do a new round every five days, but that might be give or take a day or so.

Now the only problem I had here was coming up with even teams of boys and girls. Loads of guys to include, harder to pick the girls. So I've gone for the more well known characters and left out lots. As such the starting ten of each are:

The Boys: Nightwing, Arsenal, Flash (Wally), Tempest, Robin (Tim), Kid Flash (Bart), Superboy (Kon), Changeling, Cyborg and Gren Lantern (Kyle).

The Girls: Troia, Jesse Quick, Wonder Girl (Cassie), Starfire, Raven, Bumblebee, Lilith/Omen, Rose Wilson, Supergirl (Mae) and Harlequin/Joker's Daughter.

All players are their current incarnation (given that Troia and Lilith are dead and Supergirl is MIA).

ROUND 1

Lets keep things simple to start with. Taking place in the Titans Tower gymnasium it's nothing more complicated than a game of Dodge Ball, boys against girls. The winner of each side is the boy/girl that stays in the game longest (you'll have to assume that the game ends with only one of each left). So who manages to stay standing the longest as well as knock out the opposing team? To add an extra insentive to it all at the very end of the game it's the last boy and last girl against each other. The one that wins over-all gets an extra five points added to their score, which may give tham an advantage later in the game.

Superman is acting as referee for this game, so there'll be no cheating. Let the games begin...

Bevis, have no worries about doing your own Battle of the Sexes spin-off! I love the idea of throwing in the Titans and am honored that you like the inital game so much. Now, on to dodgeball!

Titan Gents:
1.Robin
2.Flash
3.Arsenal
4.Nightwing
5.Superboy
6.Changeling
7.Cyborg
8.Kid Flash
9.Green Lantern
10.Tempest

Titan Ladies:
1.Harlequin
2.Rose Wilson
3.Jesse Quick
4.Troia
5.Supergirl
6.Starfire
7.Wonder Girl (Cass)
8.Bumblebee
9.Lilith/Omen
10.Raven

Overall winner in my book? Robin (Tim).

Great game, Bevis!

Thanks for letting me copy you Future. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as they say. wink

Bizarrely my own list is completely different from yours. See, my thinking was that without there powers the speedsters wouldn't automatically be any good at being quick at dodging or anything. So...

the boys:

1) Arsenal (he's got the speed and the training not only to avoid the balls but to hit everyone else too. Plus while not actually cheating he'd play dirty, which is why he just edges out the second place contender, which is...)
2) Nightwing (he has the agility and the training. Plus he's an acrobat and the whole batarang thing must take the kind of co-ordination that would make him a good shot)
3) Robin (for the same reason as Nightwing, just with less experience)
4) Cyborg
5) Tempest
6) Changeling
7) Flash (because he'd probably still be quite good without his speed)
8) Green Lantern
9) Superboy (aww, come on. He's been shown to be a bit of a klutz in the past)
10) Kid Flash (no super speed and he *still* doesn't have the concentration of co-ordination you need to win this game)

and the girls:

1) Troia (amazon training and all. Even without powers she's quick, nimble and has been trained in things like archery and javeline throwing which probably makes her at least nightwing's equal in this game if not Arsenal's)
2) Rose Wilson
3) Harlequin (both Rose and Harlequin are nippy and nimble and maybe not the most lethal at knocking the boys out of the game but probably darn good at avoiding the balls themselves)
4) Starfire
5) Supergirl
6) Wonder Girl
7) Bumble Bee
8) Jesse Quick (same as with Wally m'fraid)
9) Lilith
10) Raven

Oh, and the over-all winner for me would be.... erm... ooh... I think it's going to be a very tight run thing, but it'd be Arsenal. Troia has the stamina and the ability but without her powers she'd be at a slight disadvatage to Roy even with her Amazon training.

As much as I disliked her I think Starfire would win as she was shown to be a very competent athlete on Paradise Island and had training by the Okaarans.

If memory serves correctly didn't she win loads of competitions on Paradise Island?

Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

Overall: Going for Troia here - Amazon training sounds like it can be pretty tough, although it's a pretty close fight.

Starfire certainly does have similar training to Donna, but I think Donna has the edge over her because she doesn't rely on her powers so much.

But if you want your points to count I need an order of the ten for both the boys and girls...

My logic was that some of the skilled warriors, like Starfire, would be great in avoiding balls and tagging people out...but since it's a team effort they usually lead themselves wide open at some point to be pegged by the other team when they go to throw. Generally the really strong, offensive players get tagged out faster and more often than the wallflowers who just dodge the ball when I've played.

As for Flash, he's lost his speed-powers so much he has to be naturally swift SOMEHOW now to fight. laugh

Round 1 is over, and we have the winners. Clearly not having powers to start with was an advantage in this game, especially for the boys. Amongst the girls surprisingly some of the big hitters didn't do as well as expected and the less fancied players took a surprise lead. As for the results they are:

the boys

1) Arsenal 27 points
2) Robin 26 points
3) Nightwing 26 points
4) Flash 18 points
5) Cyborg 18 points
6) Changeling 14 points
7) Tempest 13 points
8) Superboy 10 points
9) Green Lantern 8 points
10) Kid Flash 5 points

the girls

1) Troia 27 points
2) Harlequin 26 points
3) Rose Wilson 25 points
4) Starfire 21 points
5) Jesse Quick 17 points
6) Supergirl 16 points
7) Bumblebee 12 points
8) Wonder Girl 12 points
9) Lilith 5 points
10) Raven 4 points

So after a close fight we wave goodbye to Kid Flash and Raven, two of the big name Titans out at the earliest possible stage.

As for the over-all winner it came down to Arsenal, Robin and Troia, with Robin just going out before the other two. However with Troia and Arsenal drawing on points total it comes down to the highest number of 10 points, which leaves Troia (with two 10s against Arsenal's one) as the over-all winner and the taker of the extra 5 points, pushing her total this round up to 32.

The next round wil follow shortly after the players have a quick break

ROUND 2

After the physical test of the first round it's time to test the Titan's artistic abilities. The girls are probably going to be more pleased by this round than the boys, but that doesn't mean they've automatically got the upper hand.

Everyone knows that for a hero image is hugely important. And a large part of that image is how you dress. Almost all of the contestants at one time or another have designed their own outfits, but now it's time to see how good they are at designing for others.

This round takes place in the very centre of Harvey Nichols in London. The task is for each Titan to design an outfit for one of the two judges, who will then award points to those that they think are the best and the most flattering. As in the first round an extra five points is available to the over-all winner, whose outfit will also then be made up for the judge chosen to wear.

Obviously the judges need to be familiar to the fashion world so please welcome Fire and Vixen.

The contestants are:

Arsenal
Changeling
Cyborg
Flash
Green Lantern
Nightwing
Robin
Superboy
Tempest

Bumblebee
Harlequin
Jesse Quick
Lilith
Rose Wilson
Strafire
Supergirl
Troia
Wonder Girl

So ladies and gentlemen, pick up your pencils and start designing...

1. Wonder Girl (she's a teenage girl after all)

3. Troia
4. Bumblebee
5. Jesse Quick
6. Starfire
7. Supergirl
8. Lilith
9. Rose Wilson

Guys:
1. Green Lantern (Kyle's an artist after all)

5. Nightwing
6. Superboy

You know, from the first two rounds so far I could see Harlequin actually making it to the final. Who'da thunk it? Anyway, as for my own votes:

the boys:

1) Green Lantern (as IB says, he's an artist and a comic book artist at that so he knows what he's doing when it comes to designing costumes)
2) Changeling (he strikes me as being arty, and also his background in film might give him an advantage)
3) Tempest (didn't he design his black and red outfit? I think he's probably got a good eye for aesthetics too)
4) Superboy
5) Robin
6) Arsenal (he's had some *bad* outfits, but he's designing for the ladies here so he'd probably come up with something interesting at least)
7) Flash
8) Cyborg
9) Nightwing (Ok, so his current outfit is quite nice but some of the others he's had, both as Robin and Nightwing, have been truly awful.)

and the girls:

1) Supergirl (like Kyle, she's an artist)
2) Harlequin (I agree with IB's logic on this one)
3) Lilith (she was a go-go dancer wasn't she? OK so her own big cloak thing wasn't exactly cutting edge but I think she'd dress others well)
4) Troia (had enough costumes of her own to know what does and doesn't work)
5) Wonder Girl
6) Rose Wilson
7) Jesse Quick (the whole Q boob thing. Not good.)
8) Starfire (again, hardly the best dresser out there unless you have a thing for metal bikinis)
9) Bumblebee (well, if her own outfit is anything to go by she's likely to design something pretty ugly)

Damn, forgot the over-all winner again. I go for Supergirl this round since Kyle is possibly a better designer but is also likely to design something less practicle whereas Linda has the advantage of knowing what works for the female figure.

Gents:
01. Green Lantern (Artist)
02. Changeling (Slightly artistic from all the animal forms he perfectly mimics)
03. Arsenal
04. Nightwing
05. Tempest
06. Robin (Not his area of expertise)
07. Flash
08. Cyborg (Doesn't really get to choose outfits ever...this can't be helpful; but computer brains can be)
09. Superboy (I know I wouldn't trust him)

Ladies:
01. Lilith (Hey, she might surprise us all since she wore her own duds until the 90s)
02. Supergirl (Artist)
03. Harlequin (Crazy costumes and would likely come up with insane, yet pleasing retro designs)
04. Troia
05. Jesse Quick (I can see her on the Apprentice, heading a design team for this)
06. Bumblebee
07. Wonder Girl (Cassie)
08. Starfire (Never had time for such things)
09. Rose Wilson

Overall: Green Lantern

Righty-ho, round 2 is over and the results just go to show that almost anything can happen in this game.

The most tightly fought battle, and the most changes in position on the score card, was amongst the boys but the girls saw their fair share of action too. The final results are:

the boys (previous position in brackets)

1) Green Lantern 49 points (9)
2) Robin 49 points (3)
3) Changeling 46 points (6)
4) Arsenal 46 points (1)
5) Nightwing 43 points (2)
6) Tempest 31 points (7)
7) Flash 30 points (4)
8) Superboy 27 points (8)
9) Cyborg 24 points (5)

and the girls:

1) Troia 60 points (1)
2) Harlequin 53 points (2)
3) Supergirl 43 points (6)
4) Jesse Quick 39 points (5)
5) Starfire 32 points (4)
6) Wonder Girl 31 points (8)
7) Rose Wilson 31 points (3)
8) Bumblebee 29 points (7)
9) Lilith 28 points (9)

Despite only being three points away from going out of the game in the first round Green Lantern makes a spectacular recovery this round to gain a total of 44 points, but he also gets the extra 5 points for coming top out of everyone and manages to just take the lead from Robin. Changeling also faired particularly well this round, rising from 6th place to 3rd and managing to push Arsenal down into fourth place despite finishing first in round 1. Nightwing and Flash also drop a couple of places, while Superboy just staves off defeat to end up eighth. So it's goodbye to Cyborg I'm afraid, and Superboy remains looking nervous at the bottom of the field.

As for the girls there was no change in the top two positions. Troai and Harlequin had strong leads at the start of this round and managed to increase those leads on the rest of the pack significantly. Despite that, however, Supergirl made a very strong showing this round and has leapt up into third place. The biggest drop this round was Rose Wilson who despite finishing third in the first round now finds herself in seventh place. Her strong showing in the first round though was what saved her here since she was the only girl not to get awarded double figures from the second round (6 points)and still managed to stay above the bottom two. Starfire's strong performance in round 1 also meant she didn't lose out too much despite only getting 11 points this round. Unfortunately the young lady we have to say goodbye to this round is Lilith/Omen. In round 2 Lilith managed to get a total of 23 points, placing her fourth overall, but her very poor showing in the first round was her undoing here and she finished just one point below Bumblebee. So it's goodbye to the go-go dancing red head as she returns to being dead in possibly the most stupid way ever.

We'll be back shortly with round 3...

ROUND 3

Eight contestants left, and now it's time for a test of patience, skill, endurance and personality. Some of the Titans are going to be thrilled by this challenge, while others are going to go white with fear...

Round 3 takes place in the Midvale orphange (which seems oddly familiar to Supergirl) and involves what could either be a very simple, or a very stressful task. Each Titan is assigned three children between the age of two and five that they have to look after and keep entertained for twenty-four hours. Remember, no special powers here just their inate ability to deal with toddlers. The judge for this round is Red Tornado and his daughter (who's name completely escapes me at the moment. Arghh...). They'll be keeping an eye on everyone and awarding points on how well they cope and how happy their wards are. As with the first two rounds there are five extra points available.

However this round those five points need not automatically go to one of the winners. The points are awarded to whichever Titan the children most want to come back and visit them. They might not cope the best with three children at once with no-one to help but that doesn't mean they won't endear themselves to the little dears. So award the five points to any of the sixteen contestants. In the event of their not being a clear winner the points will go to whosoever has the highest total at the end of the round.

the boys:

Arsenal
Changeling
Flash
Green Lantern
Nightwing
Robin
Superboy
Tempest

the girls:

Bumblebee
Harlequin
Jesse Quick
Rose Wilson
Starfire
Supergirl
Troia
Wonder Girl

Voting for this round will end some time on Wednesday 29th.

And now to cast my own votes (despite the fact that four posts in a row makes it look like I'm just talking to myself. wink )

the boys:

1) Changeling (yeah, I know, but I just see him entertaining the children and he's got enough experience being a hero to cope with anything that they might throw at him. literally)
2) Arsenal (he's a full time father already, he knows what he's doing).
3) Tempest (experience as a father again)
4) Flash (I just think he'd be good with kids. He deals well with Bart for a start)
5) Robin (I dunno, I just think he'd cope quite well)
6) Green Lantern (he'd cope, just not great. But he could probably keep them entertained quite well).
7) Nightwing (he could cope with the disasters that might arise but I just don't see him being good with kids for some reason)
8) Superboy (come on, can you see him coping?)

and the girls

1) Troia (the experience both as a mother and a hero gives her the edge here)
2) Rose Wilson (she's worked as a nanny)
3) Supergirl (she's been a teacher plus I just see her being good with kids here)
4) Harlequin (kind of like Changeling she'd be very good at keeping them entertained. That's not to say they might not end up in trouble though...)
5) Bumblebee
6) Wonder Girl (yeah, she's young herself but I don't think she'd be great at looking after three kids at once)
7) Jesse Quick (I'm sure she's mentioned that she doesn't want kids)
8) Starfire (like she's going to have the patience to deal with three young children and keep them entertained for a whole day. Shyeah.)

Thinking about it some of the Titans kind of have unfair advantages with this round (Arsenal, Tempest and Troia being parents, Rose and Supergirl working with children) but nonetheless I'm going to give the five extra points to Changeleing. It was either going to be him or Harlequin because the kids would just love them, but i think Gar just wins on this one.

Aaand Round 3 is over. The results are:

the boys:

1) Changeling 75 points (3)
2) Arsenal 66 points (4)
3) Robin 60 points (2)
4) Green Lantern 58 points (1)
5) Nightwing 52 points (5)
6) Tempest 47 points (6)
7) Flash 46 points (7)
8) Superboy 30 points (8)

and the girls:

1) Troia 79 points (1)
2) Harlequin 71 points (2)
3) Supergirl 62 points (3)
4) Rose Wilson 50 (7)
5) Jesse Quick 45 points (4)
6) Wonder Girl 43 points (6)
7) Bumblebee 39 points (8)
8) Starfire 37 points (5)

Once again the movement in the table for the boys has been at the top end of things, with Changeling being in the lead even before he gets his extra 5 points. Green Lantern's relativly poor showing doesn't prevent him droping back too far simply because of his incredibly strong round prior to this one. Strong rounds for Flash and Tempest just keep them safe as well, and at the end of the day there really was no saving poor Kon-El who only managed to gain three points this round and so is shown the door.

And again with the girls the movement is in the middle of the table. Troia and Harlequin both get a very good showing this round which pushes them that little bit further ahead of the other girls, although Supergirl manages to hold onto third place getting joint first this round with Troia and the fourth placed lady, Rose Wilson. Rose is the big mover this round out of both teams, leaping from seventh to fourth which only goes to show that one poor round doesn't automatically mean you're out of the running. On the other hand one *very* poor round does mean that Starfire tumbles from a relativly safe fifth place to end up last over-all. So now she can go back to deciding if she's a princess or not and maybe getting some new clothes.

Round Four coming soon...

Round 4

Well so far we tested the Titans skill, their artistic ability and their capacity to cope in a tough situation. So this round it's time to get gratuitous. All fourteen remaining Titans are put in a room full or single men and women. The Titans can chose to wear whatsoever they please, as little or as much as they feel comfortable in. The aim of the game is simple: the Titan to get the most kisses wins. Only one kiss from any one person in the room, but how they get the kiss is up to them. They must use their wits, their charms and, if they want, their physical appearance to win the game. There is no playing dirty this round, anything goes.

And because of that our judge this time round will be those lovely Birds Of prey Black Canary and Huntress.

Five points extra are also available this round for whichever titan has the best chat-up line (or worst, depending on how you look at it). As with round 3 the extra points don't automatically have to go to one of the overall winners.

The contenders remaining are:

the boys:

Arsenal
Changeling
Flash
Green Lantern
Nightwing
Robin
Tempst

the girls:

Bumblebee
Harlequin
Jesse Quick
Rose Wilson
Supergirl
Troia
Wonder Girl

(and just so there's no worries about the ages of some of the contestants there's an even spread of ages amongst the people in the room).

Voting finishes some time on Monday 4th October.

Guys, I have made a decision. For this round at the least (and probably for the remaining rounds) I'm going to follow Future's lead again and double the points for each position (so 14, 12, 10 and so on). I'll keep the extra points at five though, but that may go up next round as well.

1. Arsenal (big surprise)
2. Nightwing
3. Changeling
4. Flash
5. Robin
6. Green Lantern
7. Tempest

Gals:
1. Harlequin (you DID say anything goes...)
2. Supergirl
3. Troia
4. Wonder Girl
5. Rose Wilson
6. Jesse Quick
7. Bumblebee

Best line? Hm... I'd probably go with Nightwing on this one, because he'd be more adaptable in starting a conversation.

See with this one my reasoning goes along these lines: none of the boys or girls are anything but attractive. They're all hotties so the winner is going to come down to how they play the game. Arsenal, Changeling, Supergirl and Harlequin aren't going to let the fact that they're straight prevent them getting kisses from both sex. Also Roy and Gar at the very least (and probably the girls too) would go the whole hog and work the crowd wearing very little indeed. Tempest and GL would probably be quite happy flaunting their bodies (plus there's a bit of a personal liking for Tempest here too wink ) while Robin, Nightwing and Flash would be a little more wary of that kind of thing. It's not that they're not confident, just that the others maybe have the edge when it comes to chatting people up (despite being a ladies man Dick has always been show to be a bit coy around the ladies for example, and Wally would probably be very aware of his relationship with Linda). Jesse and Cassie would also have the confidence, and Troia would do quite well since she's probably the hottest of them all. Rose I think would kind of lose out since I don't see her as being as conifdent as the others.

And finally, the best chat-up line I think has to go to Harlequin. It probably wouldn't be the most effective or romantic or whatever but it would be bound to be something bizarre which at the very least would get people's attentions. Gar and Roy on the other hand would probably just be cheesy. laugh

The kissing game, eh?

Guys:
1. Arsenal (he's a charmer)
2. Nightwing
3. Changeling (also a charmer, but his appearance may put people off)
4. Green Lantern
5. Robin
6. Tempest
7. Flash

Gals:
1. Harlequin (she'd plant one on anyone)
2. Supergirl (Who wouldn't kiss her, you know?)
3. Troia (ditto)
4. Jesse Quick (smooth talking business woman)
5. Wonder Girl (spunk)
6. Bumblebee
7. Rose Wilson (I see her failing at this for some reason)

Harlequin I'd give the best pick-up line, or lack thereof, as she goes around smooching everybody. No inhibitions!

Oops, forgot to post this yesterday but better late than never...

Round 4 is over and the extra points has made a bit of a difference. Not a *huge* difference, but enough to give some of the contestants a firm lead. The results are:

the boys:

1) Arsenal 108 points (2)
2) Changeling 107 points (1)
3) Nightwing 80 points (5)
4) Green Lantern 78 points (4)
5) Robin 78 points (3)
6) Tempest 63 points (6)
7) Flash 58 points (7)

the girls:

1) Harlequin 116 points (2)
2) Troia 105 points (1)
3) Supergirl 100 points (3)
4) Jesse Quick 67 points (5)
5) Wonder Girl 65 points (6)
6) Rose Wilson 60 points (4)
7) Bumblebee 49 points (7)

Arsenal and Changeling carry on fighting it out for the top spot among the boys with a mere one point between them at this stage. The fact that both of them strutted their stuff in nowt but posing pouches and kissed *everyone* probably had something to do with their scores this round. Nightwing also makes something of a comeback this round but still needs to go that extra bit further if he’s to catch the frontrunners. Green Lantern and Robin manage to keep their scores fairly respectable but slip in the ratings slightly. At the bottom end of the table Tempest and Flash didn’t fair too badly but still remained a good way behind everyone else. Nothing could save Flash though and so with Round 4 over we say goodbye to the first of the original Fab Five, with another looking seriously in danger.

With the girls Donna Troy is finally ousted from the top spot with a spectacular showing from Harlequin who not only nearly matched Arsenal’s over-all score from this round (40 points compared to 42) but also picked up the extra five points available for the best pick-up line (although possibly literally picking people up and kissing them doesn’t count as a pick up line). Even without the extra points though she would have taken first place. Donna just manages to keep hold of second place though despite Supergirl also making a remarkable showing this round, being a full seventeen points behind Donna at the start of the round and finishing it a mere five points behind. In the middle of the table Jesse, Wonder Girl and Rose are possibly too close to call at the moment but still have a lot of catching up to do with the top three girls. Unfortunately there was no saving Bumblebee this round either and we have to wave her goodbye as she buzzes off to try and find a better outfit.

So Round 4 is over and Round 5 will follow shortly....

Round 5.

Make ‘em laugh, make ‘em laugh, make ‘em laugh.

It’s another personality test this round and this could be a huge challenge for some, but a delight for others. This round takes place in the Batcave, of all places. The rules are simple. Each contestant has three minutes to perform a comedy routine of their choosing. They are then scored simply on how funny they are. Nothing more complex than that.

However the judge is Batman.

As always there are extra points available (remaining at five points this round, but the rest of the points are still double) to awarded to the contestant who performs the most original routine. Not necessarily the funniest, just the most original (ie: it can go to anyone, not just one of the top ranked). The contestants are:

the boys: Arsenal, Changeling, Green Lantern, Nightwing, Robin and Tempest.

the girls: Harlequin, Jesse Quick, Rose Wilson, Supergirl, Troia and Wonder Girl.

Voting for this round ends probably Friday 8th, but might be Monday 11th.

Bats is the judge? Oh, dear...

Guys
1. Robin (Would know some inside jokes, perhaps)
2. Nightwing (Likewise, but Dick always did seem to get judged harder by Bruce)
3. Changeling
4. Arsenal
5. Green Lantern
6. Tempest (I don't actually see these last three succeeding at all, but Bats DOES have to rank them)

Girls
1. Harlequin (Might remind him too much of Joker to crack a laugh, but she IS funny)
2. Rose Wilson (Humor would be more his level)
3. Supergirl
4. Troia
5. Jesse Quick
6. Wonder Girl (Again, the last four probably wouldn't succeed)

Overall winner? Rose Wilson...she surprised Bruce.

Guys
1. Robin (As Future said, he knows what makes Bats tick)
2. Green Lantern (has a sense of humor and knows Batman pretty well)
3. Nightwing (Although he's a little more familiar with Bruce than Tim, Dick just isn't that funny. )
4. Tempest
5. Arsenal
6. Changeling (I think he's funny but Bats would find him juvenile and annoying.)

Gals
1. Harlequin (she's the only one who could pull it off with Batman)
2. Troia (Bruce probably has a soft spot in his heart for Donna since he's known her for so many years)
3. Jesse Quick
4. Wonder Girl
5. Supergirl
6. Rose Wilson

Overall winner? Tim. Although Harlequin & Chageling are funnier, Bruce really doesn't have a sense of humor. Tim would be more clever than anyone and this is what would likely carry the day.

Batman never laughs ever, so I trust he's putting himself in a human's shoes, the way J'Onn would.

1. Robin
2. Nightwing (they both know Alfred, HE can make Bruce laugh)
3. Arsenal
4. Changeling
5. Green Lantern
6. Tempest (poor Garth)

1. Supergirl (she'd make fun of Krypto or Clark)
2. Wonder Girl
3. Troia
4. Jesse Quick (the only thing they could both laugh about is self destructive behavior, and I bet Batman can't believe how much of a mess Jessie Quick is, even with super-speed (thank grife Batman doesn't have that!)
5. Rose Wilson (poking your eye out isn't funny, sorry)
6. Harlequin (can't concentrate on her routine because he's too busy trying not to picture Jason Todd dead at the hands of the Joker)

Most original: Tempest's fish puns (oh cod it's giving me a haddock!)

I apologize for editing my vote. I had a realization.

No probs for the edit, especially since your reasoning makes a lot of sense.

I just realised I haven't posted my own votes yet. D'oh.

the boys:

1) Changeling
2) Arsenal
3) Green Lantern
4) Tempest
5) Robin
6) Nightwing

See, my reasoning for Robin and Nightwing being so low is that Batman does know them and even though they may know what makes him tick he'd be less inclined to laugh at them in front of other people and would judge them more harshly. Unfair possibly, but then again this *is* Batman we're talking about.

and the girls:

1) Supergirl (she's just very funny. And I think Bats would be more forgiving of her because of his relationship with Superman. I also think she wouldn't be as awed of him as the others and he'd like that).
2) Harlequin (although I'm almost inclined to rethink this because of TiJulk's reasoning)
3) Wonder Girl
4) Rose Wilson
5) Troia
6) Jesse

I'll probably post the results to this round later today Friday) but it might be Monday...

Oops, forgot to say who gets the extra points from me. Actually, it's Robin even though he's low down over all because I think he'd do something a bit odd and clever and nothing like any of the others.

Round 5 is over!

There hasn't been a huge amount of movement in the rankings, but that doesn't mean to say it's been an action free round all in all. The results are:

the boys:

1) Changeling 141 points (2)
2) Arsenal 140 points (1)
3) Robin 135 points (5)
4) Nightwing 118 points (3)
5) Green Lantern 114 points (4)
6) Tempest 81 points (6)

the girls:

1) Harlequin 164 points (1)
2) Supergirl 144 points (3)
3) Troia 143 points (2)
4) Jesse Quick 93 points (4)
5) Wonder Girl 93 points (5)
6) Rose Wilson 86 points (6)

With the boys Changeling and Arsenal once again fight it out for the top spot with a mere one point between them, but they're still far from being safe at this point. Robin managed a great round picking up 40 points this round if you don't include the extra five points he received as the most original comedian. That shoots him up from fifth to third and leaves him a mere five points behind Arsenal. It's also probably too early to count Nightwing and Green Lantern out of the running. Both had a good round this time and get into three figures and only have four points between them. With two rounds still to go before the final there is the potential for them to catch up again. Unfortunately (and much to my own personal chagrin) Tempest just couldn't keep up with them. He's the only one of the boys still not to have made it into three figures so I'm afraid the big hunky fish man has to return to the waves and his annoying wife. Unless I take him home with me of course.

With the girls it's just as much a tight run race. Harlequin seems to have a formidable twenty point lead at this point but that could still all change. Gaining an incredible 46 points this round (only two off the maximum available when all votes were cast) means that she is almost certain to make it into the final three, but only time will tell that. In second and third place Supergirl and Troia fight it out with Supergirl just gaining that one extra point that pushes Troia down into third. Jesse and Wonder Girl are still in with a fight as well ending this round with equal points (a higher total this round puts Jesse just ahead) and even though they're a good way behind the top three they could potentially pull off a shock victory in the last few rounds. Finishing in last place though is Rose Wilson. Rose began the game very strongly and looked to be in with a chance of making it right to the end but a couple of very poor rounds meant that her lead was quite quickly gobbled up and she ended the round just a little too far behind the others to save her. That being said for someone who is one of the 'lesser' Titans it's been a great run, beating the likes of Starfire and Raven to get this far.

Round 6 will follow shortly...

Round 6

We're into the quarter-final round now and it's a test of skill, speed and visual recognition. It's also pretty darn simple. The round takes place in the living room of our two judges, Ralph and Sue Dibney (since in my DCU Sue, like Troia and Lilith, isn't dead). Each Titan is given the same 250 piece jigsaw puzzle and it's simply a case of completing the puzzle in the shortest time. Whoever finishes first gets the points.

The extra points this round comes once the puzzle is finished. As you would expect the puzzle itself is Titans themed and features every single Titan there has ever been. The points go to whichever of the Titans left manages to name everyone depicted first. This is completely seperate from the first part of the test so could be won by anyone. Also since we're nearing the end there are now ten points avaiable rather than five, giving someone either the chance to pull ahead of the rest or catch up with them, depending on their current score.

The remaining players are:

the boys: Arsenal, Changeling, Green Lantern, Nightwing and Robin.

the girls: Harlequin, Jesse Quick, Supergirl, Troia and Wonder Girl.

This round ends... uh... probably Wednesday 13th, but it might be earlier since I need to finish the game before I go on my holidays on the 25th and there are still two rounds left after this one.

my votes:

the boys:

1) Robin (just to be different. wink )
2) Nightwing
3) Green Lantern
4) Arsenal
5) Changeling (poor Gar)

the girls:

1) Supergirl
2) Jesse Quick
3) Troia
4) Wonder Girl
5) Harlequin

And I give the extra points to Donna. I think it'd be close between here and Nightwing, but I just think she'd have the edge on him.

Round 6 is over, and it’s all change at the top for both the boys and the girls. The results are:

the boys:

1) Robin 177 points (3)
2) Nightwing 176 points (4)
3) Arsenal 162 points (2)
4) Changeling 151 points (1)
5) Green Lantern 142 points (5)

the girls:

1) Troia 183 points (3)
2) Supergirl 178 points (2)
3) Harlequin 176 points (1)
4) Jesse Quick 133 points (4)
5) Wonder Girl 117 points (5)

The results for the boys just shows how quickly things can change. Arsenal and Changeling, who have barely been out of the top three since the start of the game, slip down into fourth and fifth place respectively. Robin and Nightwing however pull off a blinder this round getting 42 and 58 points (third place over the round went to Green Lantern with 28 points, way behind the Bat boys) which means they jump right back up to the top of the table with a mere one point between them. Despite that it’s probably too early to count out any of the top four even at this late stage. Unfortunately for Green Lantern despite a strong round he’s just pipped at the post. He almost caught up with Changeling but a few weak rounds early on have cost him his place. Still, considering many considered him not to belong in the Titans in the first place it’s a pretty good showing.

Over with the girls Troia manages to regain her lead after slipping down the table the last few rounds. A very strong round for her (40 points in total, only equalled by Jesse Quick) means that she now has a five point lead over everyone else. Supergirl also had a strong round and manages to keep hold of second place ahead of Harlequin who has her first really poor showing, only picking up 12 points. In fourth place Jesse makes up quite a bit of a gap between herself and the top three so she could still be in with a chance of making it into the final. Unfortunately for Wonder Girl there just wasn’t any saving her this round. She didn’t do too badly but she just had too much ground to make up and even though she started the round with equal points with Jesse there was just no way she could match the speedster’s performance. So we say good-bye to our youngest girl and get ready for the last round where someone will be voted off...

Round 7

Once again I shall follow Future's lead on this one, and the final round with someone being evicted (as t'were) will be a simple popularity contest. Just rate the four boys and four girls in order of your personal favourites. Just to up the ante again though points are again doubled, so they are now 16, 12, 8 and 4. The contestants are:

the boys: Arsenal, Changeling, Nightwing and Robin

the girls: Harlequin, Jesse Quick, Supergirl and Troia.

This round ends Friday 15th so that I can get the final in before the end of next week. laugh

Round Seven is over!

Ooh, and I’m right p-ed off I am. Anyway, the results....

the boys:

1) Robin 217 points (1)
2) Nightwing 216 points (2)
3) Arsenal 198 points (3)
4) Changeling 195 points (4)

the girls:

1) Troia 235 points
2) Supergirl 218 points
3) Harlequin 212 points
4) Jesse Quick 165 points

So it comes down to the final round and our final evictions. The order of the results actually haven’t changed this round (the first time this has happened) and it’s the actual points this round that are possibly more interesting. With the boys the votes were pretty evenly divided. Both Robin and Nightwing gained 40, Arsenal gained 36 and Changeling gained 44. While that makes Changeling the most popular of the four it still doesn't save him from being voted out in the very last round. You bastards. wink

On the other hand wit the girls we had a very clear winner with Troia getting a total of 52 points, well ahead of Supergirl on 40, Harlequin on 36 and Jesse on 32. Read into that what you will, but it could be nothing more than the fact that of the female Titans Troia is the only one who has been around as long as the boys and had as big a part to play in their stories. Whatever the case me however there just wasn’t any catching the top three, who have lead almost from the start, and so Jesse has to leave at this final stage. To be fair for a character that was almost universally panned during her time as a Titan she’s damn very well indeed (and I like her, even if only for her JSA appearances).

So with the final just round the corner we’re left with the six ‘ultimate’ Titans. Three of the Fab Five make it through along with a measly one member of the current team and two characters that really haven’t had that big a part to play in the history of the Titans (but I like both of them so I’m happy).

The final will follow shortly...

The Grand Final.

As with Future’s Legion game the final round takes place over three individual heats. Everyone competes on an equal setting (no powers and points all back down to zero). Whoever gets the highest cumulative total is the winner and determines whether, when it comes to the Titans, if boys or girls are better.

Heat 1

It’s a test or personality and the ability to handle themselves in a tough situation as each of our contestants appear on the Graham Norton chat show. How well they handle themselves and how entertaining they are will determine how many points they get. Changeling will be particularly annoyed to have missed out on this one...

Heat 2

A test of skill, luck and tenacity as our contestants sit down to a game of Monopoly. No cheating is allowed (I’m looking pointedly at Harlequin and Arsenal here) but the usual deals, bartering and alliances that come up in this game are all allowed.

Heat 3

It’s a simple physical test as the contestants race across an obstacle course. Under the netting, across the monkey bars, over the wall and a hundred yard dash to the finish.

The six finalists are: Arsenal, Harlequin, Nightwing, Robin, Supergirl and Troia. Rank all six for each heat and the overall winner will be decided at the end.

I’ll post the results some time next week, probably Wednesday but maybe later depending on how many people vote.

I know! How annoyed am I? Thing is if Gar had got a couple more points then Arsenal would have gone and I'd have been equally miffed.

Time to add my own votes. This is a very tightly fought round by the way...

Heat 1

1) Harlequin
2) Troia
3) Arsenal
4) Supergirl
5) Robin
6) Nightwing

Heat 2

1) Troia
2) Arsenal
3) Supergirl
4) Nightwing
5) Robin
6) Harlequin

Heat 3

1) Nightwing
2) Troia
3) Arsenal
4) Robin
5) Harlequin
6) Supergirl

At this stage there's a mere one point between the top two, so if anyone else votes it could all change...

Aaaaand.......

it's all over. No more votes please, we have a winner. The results are, in reverse order:

6) Supergirl 26 points
5) Harlequin 37 points
4) Robin 43 points
3) Arsenal 43 points
2) Nightwing 51 points
1) Troia 52 points

So, in the case of the Titans, Girls Rock!

A mere one point in it when it came to the wire and Troia just manages to pip Nightwing to the post. It's fitting really that it should be the two of them in the top two places since to all intents and purposes they are the number one male and female Titan in most people's minds. Also fitting is that the only other member of the Fab Five to make it to the final was in third place (getting more first places in the final overall than Robin). Robin also performed well and even though Harlequin and Supergirl couldn't quite match their performances from earlier rounds they've still done pretty darn well to get into the final in the first place.

So, off we go to crown Troia the number one Titan. Not bad for a dead chick. tongue
