I seriously didn't look that up! I guess it pays to 'like' your favorite shows and stuff on FB!
Hm. Question.....okay. This ties into the series in a way that recently dovetailed into the comics:
A major Buffy character recently died in the climax of the post-series Season Eight comics. What one-off villain from the TV series claimed him or her afterwards in a manner that was consistent with the history established in the villain's original appearance? Explain as much as you'd like and use spoiler block to hide the deceased character's identity if you prefer.

I just had the Buffy Season 8 hardcovers in my hands last weekend while visiting someone, but I only got 100 pages in.
I have a guess at who died but not a clue who the one-off villain might be so won't bother to guess yet.

I haven't read it, so I'm gonna totally throw out a guess. Giles dies. Body claimed by Ethan Rayne.

Half-right. And Ethan's involved, but he was no one-off.
(Might consider editing part of that with a spoiler box, Set.)

Yeah, Ethan came to mind, but then I remembered how many times he popped up.

I got nothing. I was guessing anyway and can't think of a one-shot character that fits the bill.

Can't say I've got any guesses either.

Well if you take the question in context of how it relates to the TV series, think of episodes that delved into this marquee character's past. I've already told you that Ethan was involved (if not the primary threat), so that should narrow things down.
And if you can't (understandably) remember the villain's name, just describe the situation as best as you can remember.

Given their past co-habitation, perhaps the demon Eyghon (sp?) still has some sort of hold on Giles' soul? IIRC, he and Ethan were the only two surviving hosts left...

You are correct, Set! Here's a summary of the episode in question. Note that in the "Arc Significance" section at the bottom, there's a mention of the tie-in to the Angel & Faith comic storyline which features the return of Eyghon. The A&F series is primarily about the title characters' quest to restore Giles to the living. They're gathering pieces of his soul and that most recently put them in conflict with Eyghon, who would naturally have a claim. In that arc's conclusion, Eyghon is destroyed, but Giles is still not resurrected. The Eyghon story left Angel catatonic with three personalities now in his head: his own, Angellus and Giles. Giles' ultimate fate will presumably be decided by the time A&F and Buffy Season 9 conclude their runs. Your turn!

All the years I have been playing on this thread and I just noticed "trivia" is misspelled...

This is especially weird, I noticed it on subject line of the email notification of this post, and then found out that was exactly what the post was about.
I'm on your wavelength bro.

Oh hey, I lost this thread, thanks for the heads up!
New question;
A recurring character was played by someone who once performed with Prince. What was the name of this character's only named relative, on the show.

Oh, wow....I know you are talking about Robia LaMorte, and her uncle was played by Vincent Schiavelli, but I cannot seem to put a name to him. I will wait a day or so before I resort to a search engine...

The uncle's last name wasn't specifically mentioned, I don't believe, but it's most likely the same his nieces 'gypsy' name.
So, only the first name is needed, really.

Oh, I was trying to think of the first name, not the last. Still, Jenny calls him "uncle" almost all of the time, so his name was only mentioned once or twice. Grrr...I am never going to think of it though.

Eh, you named the *actor,* which I didn't even know, so if you want to go Google it and take the next one, I'm fine with that.

Time's up! It was Uncle Enyos (lastname, presumably, Kalderash). Want the next question lancesrealm? If not; Name two (or more!) episodes that place Sunnydale on the coast / abutting the ocean.

Let's see...they were on the coast in "Go Fish" (the swim team episode) and "Buffy vs. Dracula."
New question when I think of it.

Awesome. My two choices were Go Fish (since the fish dudes made it to the ocean via the tunnels under the school, which suggests that they were darn close to the ocean) and Surprise (in which Angel takes the Judge's arm down to the docks to board a ship and sail far away). But Buffy vs. Dracula also has a beach scene, so that totally counts!

Ok, here we do...
Which of the main characters owned a gun?

For some reason I'm only thinking of the early years. The most logical at first glance would be Giles as the adult, but then you realize it just might be Cordelia as the rich kid, so I'll go with her.
Unless you consider Jonathan a main character, but when he was seen with a gun he wasn't a regular. Warren had a gun when he shot Tara, and I suppose he might have been a regular at that time, but I don't know if he owned it.

IMO, 'regular' would be someone in the big name credits, which would only include Jonathan during Superstar (the one ep where he was a big name). And, IRRC, he had a scene of him in a James Bond-esque pose in the credits with a handgun... So yeah, I'm going with Jonathan as my guess.
Riley *used* a gun (although more commonly some sort of electro-stunny thing) as part of his night job, but I don't know that he ever *owned* a gun.
There are a number of credited characters who seem the sort to carry or use a gun, at one point or another (such as the eminently practical Anya, or Robin Wood), but I don't recall any of them actually doing so...
A good question!
Jonathan remains my guess!

Well Lance didn't use the word regular, he said "main" character. I used regular to be clear how I interpreted it.

My thinking was the same about Riley - we never seen any confirmation that he owns a gun. Also, Jonathan did have a gun in the episode "Earshot," but we never learn how he got it. Did it belong to his parents? Was it stolen? We never find out.
No the answer was Anya, whose gun Xander swipes in "The Replacement."
Since Set mentioned Anya, I am gonna pass it to him just to keep the game moving.
