so "X2" is out today on DVD !!! is this the same day as the US ???

or is it already out ???

anyone planning on getting it ..... i've decided to wait for Christmas to get, it !!!

but with all the adverts for it on TV, i'm starting to regret that now !!!

this film has been my favourite of the whole year [ so far ..... ] of course there is still "LOTR: Return Of The King" to come yet !!!???

It doesn't come out here (in the US) until the 25th. Monday's aren't generally a big DVD release day. Tuesday is our big day for DVD releases.

Tomorrow's big releases are T3 and King of the Hill Season 2.

I was hoping this was about an early US release...

in the UK, DVDs/CDs/videos always come out on a Monday !!

Perhaps it was our way of apologizing for the US version of "Coupling"?

I shudder to think of what we'll owe them for the US version of "The Office"

Oh please don't let the US do a version of The Office. I'm really beginning to enjoy that show. I can only think of three instances where we (Americans) have taken a Britcom and done something decent with it.

The first was our adaption of Til Death Do Us Part which became All In The Family. The second was our adaption of Steptoe and Son which became Sanford and Son. The last was Three's Company which was based on Man About the House. 3 really good (in my book) adaptions out of hundreds of shows. The odds are not good.

I keep meaning to download the Red Dwarf USA pilot. Apparently it's so bad it's good.

I mean, they cast the Cat as a female (Jadzia from DS9, I think). Talk about missing the point... done honestly, femmeCat and Lister would be screwing like rabbits, let's be honest here

It was never meant to be released (actually, I think there might have been two, and the femmeCat was the second one) - they were done as screentests for a potential series. The only guy who reprised his role for at least one of them was Robert L (Kryten)

X2 was absolutely perfect in every way. So far above the first film, which was entertaining enough, but they don't compare.

Kurt's teleporting brought a tear to my eye! The seige on the mansion-- unbelievable. Jubilee! Kitty! SIRYN!! PETER!!!!!!!!! Pyro strikes back, which I loved-- and switches sides, which I expected. Jean & Storm weren't the useless ballast they were in the first film! Magneto busts loose! Mystique continues to be an ass-kicker. Iceman! Phoenix??? OooooOooooh, I enjoyed it all so much...!!!!

Ah, Lash! You're making me relive all the joy I had coming out of the theatre for the first time realizing the same things...and the next four!

I'm glad you liked it! I definitely feel X2 was a better film than the first, so much so that now when I watch the first X-Men I don't feel as interested or as attached. I can't name too many favorite scenes or lines in the first film, but my mind overflows with ones from the second.

Famike (sp?) was awful though as Jean. I hope Phoenix is recast.

She was alright, much more enjoyable (for me) in X2.

And Storm was VERY improved. No crap-ass dialogue and a few REALLY cool scenes using her powers.
