He'd probably ignore Civil War and World War Hulk and use the "Silver Age" persona of the Marvel Universe but also include,Wolverine,She-Hulk and Spider Woman(Jessica Drew).

The storyline would hearken back to the Silver Age with the various Marvel villains(Kingpin,Red Skull,Magneto and many more)coming together and plotting universal domination!!!

Hm. I love the Marvel Silver Age over any other era, including the DC Silver Age. But at this juncture, I pretty much feel that Kurt Busiek and Ross covered it quite well with 'Marvels', so there'd be no need to return to the well once more. I'm of the opinion that other eras deserve a chance to shine equally as much.

Mark Millar has the right idea for something nostalgic like that, with his upcoming 1984 series, which seems pretty cool.

I'm sure Ross would prefer something set in the Silver Age, but it'd be cool if he did something in the 1970's, along the lines of what's popular today in Marvel comics. I'd include: Spidey-as-outlaw/accused of murder; Avengers during the Celestial Madonna Saga, Cap as Nomad, The Defenders, Luke Cage: Hero for Hire, Iron Fist, Shang-Chi, Spider-Woman, Hulk at peak of his Savage Era, She-Hulk, The All-new X-Men, Captain Marvel during the Starlin era, FF but also with odd members (Medusa, etc.), Man-Thing, Hellcat, and other similar things. Make it from about 1974-1980 or something.

Now that would be different, and would be fun.

Call me crazy, but I think a 1989-1993 era Marvel series would be kind of cool to see with Ross art, if they could get a writer. It'd be like all that crazy Marvel marketing, but with the story and art to back it up!

When's Marvels: Eye of the Camera (the Busiek/Jay Anaceleto Marvels sequel) due anyway? It was announced back in 2003, and late last year, it was apparently still being worked on.

1989 to 1993? huh? Wasn't that some of Marvel's worst comics? Maybe not I was in high school those years and liked most everything. After 93 I left marvel for along time. (5 years)

I think Ross is a fan of the Bronze Age stuff.

I think in the right hands of a writer & artist, with some underlying commentary on some of the themes of that era, this could be pretty damn cool! Though it was on the verge of entering the worst era ever in Marvel history, I do have some fondness for some of the stuff from that era. I mean, the crossover with Spidery & Ghost Rider and Johnny Blaze with Venom and Demogoblin and stuff may have been terrible, but I’ll always love it!

Marvel 1989 to 1993 has a lot of stuff I like: Peter David's Hulk, Harras & Epting's Avengers, Nicieza & Bagley's New Warriors, Alan Davis' Excalibur, my two favorite mega-crossovers of all time (Operation: Galactic Storm and X-Cutioner's Song), the last year or so of Layton & Michelinie's second Iron Man run, Nicieza & Angel Medina's Soviet Super Soldiers one-shot special...

Ooh, I remember some of those! Totally love X-Cutioner's Song. Seriously. Oh, and the Soviet Super Soldiers... man... old skool.

I love Marvels, too-- can't wait to see the sequel. It was just so... neat. Human, y'know?

Anyway, I think a Justice-like thing could work with the '80s X-Men/New Mutants. Or maybe the Avengers/New Warriors...

If it's Avengers/New Warriors, maybe either Steve Epting or Mark Bagley could draw it. That would be great. I'd prefer Epting partly because he's a personal favorite (I have so many comics I never would have bought if not for Epting drawing them), and because he already has drawn both teams (when the New Warriors guest-starred in two issues of Avengers), but I'd be just as happy with Bagley.
