A local Barnes & Noble Bookseller has a used book section. Which is in reality bigger than some stores at a local mall.

They also carry "used" trade paperbacks of comics.

I get lots of great stuff there.

Fables trades for 5 bucks.

JLA/Avengers issues for 3 bucks.

Most everything is half price.

Thing is...they sell overstock stuff...so it's not actually used...it is brand spankin new.

Just had to brag about it.

Hmm, we have a B&N but I haven't noticed any used book section. Maybe its off in a corner somewhere. I'll have to look harder or try the big one in Ann Arbor.

Thanks for the tip.

The only one I've seen it at is in Rochester.

Havn't been to the one in Ann Arbor though.

This sounds cool! I'll be looking for the used book section next time I'm in a B&N.

Same here.

I've gotten great deals on not-really-used TPBs at local cons, but there isn't always much in the way of choices.

Ditto. Haven't been to B&N since early last year. Maybe its time to return if they are dealing in used books now.

Thanks for the head's up Dev! I'm close to at least two B&N, so it's definately worth a trip over to see if they have used sections! I know I'm trying to get most of the Preacher trades and the last few Sandman's so my brother can read them!

Well, none of the B&N's in the Salt Lake area are doing it. But I did get a good deal on new XML and MySQL books yesterday so it was worth the trip to take a look around. Been ages since I've been to a book store.

Rochester, huh? That's not too far from me. Where exactly is this B&N, Dev? It might be worth making a little trip.

It's on Rochester Road just north of Auburn (and M-59).

There's a Target right across the street.

Thanks for the tip, Dev-Em. I just picked up the first Starman trade for $9, Zatanna's Search for $4 and Legion Archive #12 for $30!! I spent too much, but I felt like a kid in a candy store. I'll have to put off my next visit for awhile. I asked the lady at the counter and she said that that was the only B&N that she knew of that sells used books.

Well that narrows that down. I'll have to find a day for a roadtrip to see what's there. Probably won't cover gas, but gives a good reason to stop off in Greek Town for eats.
