check out NEWSARAMA for the cover of 'PREVIEWS' featuring an 'Infinite Crisis' cover by JIM LEE !!

it looks very cool !!

as been mentioned before this is new crisis is about the 'worst' day ever in the DC Universe !!??

do we think that the whole series will take place during just one day ??

do we think the new crisis WILL some how link into the original CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS !?

which major characters to do will die in this mini !??
Matthew.

I noticed a certain flying character in the background whose title has recently become a smash hit with me. Does his appearance on the cover bode ill.... or well?

And is that a former HERO pictured with all the baddies? That bodes WAY ill.

I wouldn't read too much into it... the background is a montage of the mini's leading up to IC, and the foreground is DC's power trio. I don't think it actually tells us anything about IC.

Although those are some suspicious looks S&B are giving each other... wink

Would they kill any of the Big 5?

Superman-- Highly unlikely. After all... it's been done.

Wonder Woman-- Possibly. Not really a big seller, plus a potential replacement is on her way back to life.

Batman-- Possibly. Dick could potentially replace him under the mask. I think they'd have a lot of people upset, though.

Green Lantern (Hal)-- Extremely unlikely. He just came back. One of the others... maybe.

Flash-- Doubtful. There's not a clear replacement line up (I would be surprised if Bart took over the mantle already). And the Flash dying would seem to be just repeating the last crisis.

Wonder Woman looks FANTASTIC on that cover! Beautiful, fierce, strong, regal, authoritative, determined... LOVE it!

Batman and Superman look less good but whatever - they bore me anyway.

Looking at the background characters I thought "Ah ha! So 'Villains United' is the mini that kicks off 'Infinite Crisis'". But after looking at it more closely I agree with Pov that its just a montage of all the various lead-in minis. My money is still with 'The Omac Project' or 'Villains United' to be the one that does the deed though.

I'm not the hugest Jim Lee fan in the world but the more I see of his art the more I like it. This cover is pretty good and if the other one were being drawn by anyone other than George Perez I'd probably get it. But GP is one of my comic gods and barring a major disaster I see very little chance of him not blowing my socks off with whatever he's got in store for his cover!

*Can't wait for Infinite Crisis!*

DC is SO where its at right now!

Whoops - forgot to mention my one reservation.

Phil Jiminez on art! Now I know he can be a *very* good artist when he wants to be - see the 'Tempest' mini, his portion of the 'Countdown' special, etc - but he can also be extremely lacklustre IMO. And this is made doubly bad when putting him in such close proximity to art by the great George Perez - an artist he so obviously mimics and is so obviously inferior to.

I really hope he brings his A-game here though because I know he has it in him and this is probably going to be the highest profile thing he'll ever get the chance to draw.

Now it'll be 3 months of DC teasing us with what we already know. Hopefully it'll live up to the hype. I've a feeling the solicit will be something like this:

The day of reckoning has arrived for the heroes of the DCU. They are confused and divided, as War sweeps the cosmos, the Spectre has his vengence, OMACs rampage and their villains are united. Now they face an Infinite Crisis.

I like the cover - especially that Diana has obviously had her nails done lol

Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

I am looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

I got to thinking with DC about to forward all the titles a year in story if this would be the time to cut some titles or a chance to quit collecting?

Who the heck am I kidding...I am a junkie and gotta have my fix.
