Hmmm. Sweet art (I'd expect no less from Turner).
This arc is gonna be DC's 2004 version of Jim Lee on BATMAN.

I read on another message board that this is supposed to be the "original Kara". Don't know how this works out with all those other three Supergirls floating around - I never followed the series.

"i can tell you that she is NOT the pre - crisis girl, since that character doesn't exist and never existed in modern continuity" guess we'll just have to wait and read ..... Matthew.

Sounds like a rebooted Kara to me.
The art's good, but damn -- Clark's been taking some MetRx cuz he's *huge*.
I'm not so hot on that Supergirl outfit though -- I could do without that bare midriff and belt.

The contrast in musculature is WAY too much.
That's what was so appealing about Greg LaRocque's artwork on the preboot Legion, as I saw it. He showed the women with twice the usual apparent musculature and strength, yet with their being not one whit less feminine. Far more believably than Kara Model II is shown above. And the men were well-developed, but not at all musclebound. Nobody else made quite as effective a match-up in such morphology across genders.
Only half an order of muscular magnitude separated LaRocque's Legion men and women, not two, as is shown above. I can't quite believe that those above are even allegedly from the same Kryptonian species.
And the miniskirt, however attractive, is sheer masturbation-fantasy fodder. Dejah Thoris was illustrated as dressing better in Burroughs' John Carter of Mars stories.

Grey, I disagree with you wholeheartedly on the miniskirt issue.
I just think they look cute.
And Lilith, Triplicate Girl & SW6 Andromeda agree!

I agree! I wish there were a lot more mini-skirts! Supergirl definately needs one! I wish Luornu had one too! They're still far more classy than a thong (not that I'm saying we should get rid of thongs of course)

Well, if Anna Kournikova (and all those other professional female athletes) can wear a mini playing tennis, then I can imagine it being somewhat practical for superheroines.

Oh, they're cute, Lash LaRue, but they never fit her being a fighting superheroine. And, ahem, "Playboy" is more efficient.
O'course, neither did Dawnstar's fringe and long hair fit her being a fighter, so who am I to talk?

And what happened to Matrix/Supergirl?
