What the Hell is the military doing in publicly referring to homosexual love as "distasteful"? Bad way to put it.
"Disruptive" I can buy without offense because suddenly having the urge to engage in homosexual sex if you're straight would be distracting for straight men, to say the least, I should think.
In any event, I'm glad that they didn't build this weapon because what it really would've done, I imagine, is to drive subjects hormonally insane. This would be quite worrisome in light of the fact that some soldiers seem to be historically prone to raping and pillaging even when their hormonal balance isn't deliberately altered, as Ultra Jorge alludes to above. Just my two cents worth of opinion, anyway.
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

What they should have done is combine the love bomb with the halitosis bomb, so their enemies would have erotic feelings for each but couldn't stand each others' breath. That would really have driven them insane.

So their strategy is what? Drop a bomb and sit back and watch the enemy plan a Julie Andrews film festival and then in the middle of Thoroughly Modern Millie sneak in and take them unawares?

MSNBC did a story on this on tonight's episode of Countdown. Rachel Maddow was the commentator. The guest host introduced her by saying "Here to discuss all this is our very own gay bomb, Rachel Maddow."
Ms. Maddow cracked up and said it was the best introduction she ever received for a television show.
