WTG, Sketch. You're doing great!

I have gotten really out of my walking every morning, which I need to resume.

BUT, this morning I was 175, my lowest weight yet since starting this diet! I'm sure I'll be back up tomorrow, but I'm gonna enjoy this moment.

All I know is that I actually lost a pound while I was at Wizard Con.

STILL not sure how THAT happened!!

I wasn't too careful last week and gained a few pounds. So this weekend I've been very careful. I weighed in at 173 this morning. I still have that elusive goal of 168.

Well, I weighed this morning and feared the worst, as I really hadn't been careful lately and have felt really bloated, but I weighed 186, so I'm still maintaining.

I need to use the cooler temps moving in to TRY to get into the 170s. But all those yummy holidays are coming up...!

I haven't lost any of the weight I gained when I was in Texas, and in fact I've gained an additional pound.

I need to stop eating!!!

You guys all realize that losing weight doesn't necessarily mean you're in better shape, right? Muscle weighs more than fat. In fact, if you stay away from the gym for a while, you'll lose weight (temporarily) - because of less muscle and more fat. Keep an eye on your body fat percentage to get a better idea of where you stand.

Realize all that ferroboy. But I work out 6 days a week and watch what I eat so that I build muscle but still lose weight.

ferroboy, I've been saying that on this thread since way back in the beginning. My hope is that everyone here who is trying to improve their fitness and lose weight, is doing it in a healthy way.

Now, having said that, I have to report that I've been eating the worst possible foods lately, and too much. Last night, I went out to karaoke and had several drinks and went to Denny's at 2am. OMG, I feel like shee-ite today!

As per usual, I'll eventually turn this bad behavior around, and have a good run of eating right and working out. Not today. Definitely not today.

I'm around 175 right now, and that's down from about 185. I know I put this weight on in 1999 (before that I was something like 145-150 lbs). It's just very difficult to get rid of it. Even with muscle building I should probably drop another 10 lbs or so. I'm just not as dedicated as I should be.

At this point, I'm just hoping to do what I did last year.

Believe it or not, I astually lost a pound from the day before Thanksgiving through January 2nd. Go figure.

Besides, after I've pigged out over Thanksgiving, I need something to lift my spirits. I was heavier after Thanksgiving (180) than I've been in over 6 months.

Luckily, I love spinach and mushroom salad topped with balsamic vinegar for lunch. laugh

I've been eating like it's going out of style ever since last month. I suppose I do that knowing that in January, I'll be hitting that gym ferociously. Still, it doesn't feel very good right now, despite the delicious food.

*sigh*

Well, I didn't lose any weight.
But, I guess one positive way to look at this is that I didn't gain any, either.

I just sorta ended up where I started.

Oh well, back to the drawing board. (So to speak!!)

Ditto here. After I started working full-time, I blew all that hard work over the summer and starting slipping into old habits and not working out.

As of last week, I'm deadly serious again about staying in shape.

i'm hittin the gym again tomorrow !! 2004 was such a crap year for me, regarding excersize !!

i hardly went at all, and at some points, didn't go for weeks on end !!

i'm gonna make it my goal to go at least 3 times per week [ i'd really like to push that to between 4 or 5 times, really !! ]

and my first visit will be tomorrow morning, i'm just gonna work on the treadmill during January, and i wanna run for at least 45 minutes each session, and then finish off with sit-ups !!

and i shouldn't have any problems with having the correct music to run to either, since i've loaded over 500 dance song onto my iPod and i've even made some "running" PLAYLISTS on it !!

i want to make 2005 the year that i get the body that i've always wished i'd had !! and my deadline to have got it, is by July of this year when my summer vacation will be !!

and if we push each other, we should all reach our goals smile

Matthew.

Let's see, I do weight-steps for 50 minutes, dance for about 65 minutes, 30 minutes various excercises (squats, sit-ups, triceps work outs, leg crunches) squats are the worse...

I do this everyday and diet mildly, I'm going to hate going back to school, because I'm taking Movement for Actors (I learn to sword fight, yay!) but it's three hours and we were told that we never sit down and sweat like crazy...ugh...

And to show I bear no ill will, I, too, shall bestow a gift...

I finaly weighed this morning, weighed 189 so I was relieved not to have hit the 190s again-- barely. Now to take off that extra 5 or so pounds and get back to the safer mid-180s.

Well my diet has gone crazy on purpose. Trying to big as I can. Been eating lots since beggining of November. I am weighing 260 gained 20lbs in two months smile . Lots of milk, cheese, eggs, chicken, etc. Gotta say I am strong as a horse...been doing cardio twice a week though make sure all that fat doesn't give me a heart attack. smile Pretty happy with my progress but i will be back here next month when i cut my calories a little bit but will cut lots of fat out of it (no more milk, cheese, eggs...just chicken, tuna, salad)...and lots more cardio!

eat less run more...you guys are inspiring.

Jorge
