Okay, from time to time we all have a question or two on something we would like help on. And this crew is about as diverse, eclectic, smart, and just plain weird in a fun way that i cant think of a better bunch of real people to ask questions of at times.
So, i have one simple suggestion that i think will help matters a lot and give a good flow: Lets get an answer to the current question before asking a new one.
To start us off: I would like to turn the GL splash in wizard #152 of Hal into a desktop background. I have heard it called "wallpaper" I think it is. How would i do that?
Thanks all, and lets hope this thread helps more than just me, lol.

If you don't have the graphic in a digital form, it'll have to be scanned from your magazine. Scanning has too many steps to describe briefly, so I'd suggest that if this is needed, you enlist someone locally who has a scanner to help you.
Do you have the graphic displayed at a Website in a browser window? Right-click on it and choose "Set as Wallpaper." (I'm using the terms in Netscape browsers, but the actions and menu terms are nearly identical in Internet Explorer.)
Do you have the graphic saved on your local computer? You can navigate to it by choosing "Open File" in your browser's File menu, and then right-click on it and choose "Set as Wallpaper."
You also can right-click on the Windows desktop, choose "Properties," and use the "Background" tab to browse to the file's location and select it. (It has to already be a .bmp, bitmap, or .jpg, JPEG.)
Would you like to modify the graphic before you use it, or re-save it as a .bmp or .jpg? Check out the free image-modifying programs, such as IrfanView, mentioned in the featured topic at the top of the Bits forum.

And if you don't have it Rick, let me know. I just need to unbag my issue and I could scan it in for you. Always glad to help create a new wallpaper.

Thanks, folks. I got it. Here is how i did it for anyone like me that doesn't know...
I found a link to it at newsarama on Geoff Johns site. I followed the link and it appeared in a seperate window.
I saved it as a file, and then went bombing around my control panel. I somehow stumbled onto the 'display' thingie. When i clicked on it, it had a browse button. Believe it or not, the thing allowed me to set it as my 'background'.
Since it is in poster form, it only takes up about 2/3's of my basic screen. This lets me split my desktop icons on either side of it.
Now, having said all this, is there a better way to do it? Have i done it correctly and not messed up my computer screen?
A quick answer will be fine, and then someone else that needs an answer is more than welcome to ask a question. Thanks to all that replied, by the way. I continue to say this is the best board going.

Guess i must have done it correctly.
Okay then, how do i create a previous restore point?
I have Windows ME. And it seems that my computer wont create restore points, even when i turn the function on. I don't know if it is bad software or what. Anyone know?
