Matthew I swear we had a YouTube thread around here somewhere but a quick search through the forums doesn't come up with anything beyond the links included in some threads (like the Legion animated show thread).

I've found some interesting things there but really haven't spent a lot of time using it.

I'd followed links to there from cuteoverload.com since people were posting videos of baby animals (assorted species).

Have a list of AMVs that I'd saved up, plus some cartoon moments. Batman singing, the Teen Titans chasing the Mad Mod... that kind of thing.

YouTube rocks! I wouldn't have been able to see awesomely cheesy live-action Sailor Moon series without it.

Is it just me, or is the feed from YouTube jerky and crappy? Everytime I link in, everything's out of sorts and the audio isn't synched.

Most of the time, it works fine for me. But if it's jerky, then put the clip on pause (by hitting the Play button on the clip itself). Wait for the light gray bar at the bottom of the clip screen to darken; that's indicating how much of the video file has uploaded. When it's done or nearly done, then unpause it. That should solve the problem. Otheriwise it may be that the person didn't upload a good-quality file.

There is a significant problem with videos that are out of synch with the audio.

There's lots of great stuff on there, however.

Okay, so YouTube is my newest hobby here lately.

Just today, I watched lots of Justice League (including the Justice Lords ep that I had never seen yet always longed to view), GI Joe the Movie (CO-BRAAAA_LALALALALALALALALA) and the crown jewel of all crown jewels, The Star Wars Holiday Special, replete with the musical musings of Carrie Fisher, Bea Arthur, and Chewbacca's wife! It was rich.

White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

I go to YouTube to watch videos of my favorite singers. I also like to watch babies laugh. My kids like to search for Star Wars stuff.

There's supposed to be lots of music videos made from Lost clips, but I can't look for them yet.

I've blown a lot of time watching some Wings tribute band from Japan and like 50 different people all trying to play along to the solo from Stairway to Heaven. Good times. I also saw the last inning or so of the last Braves game of the '91 season when they clinched the dvision championship, which started their streak and which I was fortunate enough to be at. I was surprised how quickly it went down, because in memory it took a long time.

Thanks to YouTube I've discovered the joys of MST3K. My favourite featured horrible movies so far probably are Space Mutiny, The Deadly Bees, Deathstalker and the Warriors from Hell, and that croud-pleaser Manos - The Hands of Fate.

Speaking of crimes against celluloid, curse you people for mentioning that that Star Wars Christmas Special is on there. I of course promptly had to inflict it on myself, and boy, is it ever one of those hindsight is 20/20 cases. wink

It seems to have cleared up for me for the most part. There is a whole poop load of great Radiohead TV performances on there.

Cool, I'll do that.

I've got a friend into the prog/weird stuff (just like me) who likes to send me YouTube clips.

I'm watching a bit of a Colosseum II show (with Gary Moore)right now. My favorite clip to date was Screamin' Jay Hawkins doing "I Put A Spell On You" on Canadian TV.
