I think you would have to be a blind goldfish not to see through her performance on the runway.

I have to give them credit this time, because in the past I have criticized them for not seeing what was right in front of them. And I still haven't forgiven Michael Kors for how he treated Jonathan (Now I remember his name) last season.

We didn't have TV for awhile, switching servers, sort of.
I watched a marathon of the show today.

I loved watching the A team loose to the military/lace group and Cassanova win.
Tim yelling at them was soooo good, too.
I loved watching Gretchen's face, and the other 2, when Michael C. won. for his black dress (AND his orange one earlier!)

Hated to see Cassanova go.
Does anyone think that he might be a perfect friend for Chris Marsh? (I hope I have his last name right. I so love that guy. sigh)

I really enjoyed watching Mondo and Michael work together so well.
Good for Mondo and he shouldn't listen to those 2 harpies!
The Asian guy shouldn't either.

I hated April's dress(?) tonight but I understand why she won, although I thought that that the actress saying she'd wear it on the red carpet was a bit dingy.
I also think that April got a LOT of help from Kors when he stopped by!

I would have given the win to the other black outfit, the one by the other Mike (right?).

This is the first season that I haven't any real clue who's going to win.
I'd like to see 3 of the guys go to the end, I think, Mike C, Mike B (D, E, . . . ) and Chris.
Or maybe Mondo, too.
I just don't know.

Candle I agree that April should not have won. Her outfit looked like a negligee not resort wear. I would have given the win to Andy and his bathing suit & wrap.

I think Ivy should have been auf'ed (as they say) Her outfit was sooo boring. I don't see how pants would have made that outfit less boring.

Casanova would not have made it to the final three anyway. In this case (Despite what Michael Kors said on the group challenge) I think the judges do take past efforts into consideration. Ivy did have some great outfits before and Casanova was twice in the bottom three.

For the final three I would say Gretchen, Valerie (3 times in the top three, two times as the runnerup), and Ivy. But they may not want an all woman final three. Of the guys, I would say Andy.

I've always liked Mondo (He reminds me of our own Actor Lad) and I was glad to see him realize that Michael C is a good guy and can do good work and that he (Mondo) was being a jerk. That said, I don't see Michael C getting to the final three.

I'm kinda watching this, this season.

That purple bathing suit/wrap absolutely should have beaten the bedtime negligee'. I just don't get what the judges THINK sometimes. This was a RESORT-WEAR challenge not a negligee' challenge!! What the HECK!?!?!

I thnk Andy should have been auf'ed this week. Those pants were horrid.

I loved Mondo's outfit and am glad he won.

April has seemed to stepped up. Her designs are much better than what she started out giving.

I always think it's important to follow the actual assignment.
Whether a design was good or bad takes second place to following the assignment, for me.

Andy's was the furthest from that criterian to me.
But the one who left was a close second.

Valerie is hopeless, as far as I'm concerned and she should be out of there ASAP.

I love that Mike C is still there and that Ivy didn't win.

Personality wise, I can't stand Grethen or Ivy.
I'm gonna hate it if they're around to the end.
sigh

Mondo's was okay, I loved the huge haringbone print.
I just wasn't crazy about the strips and pockets.
I liked that he has a picture of Jackie at home, though.

Have these designers never watched Project Runway? As soon as Tim said "you have 2 days for this challenge" I knew there would be some twist and the usual twist in a two day challenge is to make a second outfit.

And Mondo wins again. That's 2 challenges in a row. I wasn't too impressed with his high fashion outfit. But then I am never impressed with those high fashion concept pieces. But his ready wear dress was great. It was simple and did compliment his high fashion piece.

Valerie seems a little broken by this challenge. I am not sure if she will be able to come back and start making good clothes again.

I really liked Andy's warrior woman as an artpiece, and could seem elements of it in real clothes.

I liked both of Mondo's dresses.

I did NOT get Gretchen's design at all. I kept trying to imagine it on a really high fashion photoshoot on a waify model or something. You know, moody poses in a dusty old mansion or out in a stark field. It just shows that the design didn't impress me because I had to do all that mental work.

Those blue dresses were horrid!! Ewww!

Michael Kors had LOL line after line!! Gah, he was cracking me up!

I have only seen the last half hour of the show since I watched the season premier of 'Fringe'.

I'll have to catch it again so I can see the drama that I'm sure was there.

Ivy's gone!
Hurray!
What an undeserved ego she has, and a mean spirit.

Mike is still there.
He needs to edit himself.

And Valerie shouldn't feel so bad.
Her things weren't any worse than Ivy's, imo.
She'll probably be gone pretty soon, anyway.

Oh.
I loved Mondo's high fashion dress.
His and Andy's were both wonderful.
I actually prefered Andy's second dress better than Mondo's but I usually dislike stripes.

Wow! I had been predicting that Ivy and Valerie would make it to the final three. Does any one want me to give them stock tips or lottery numbers to play?

Mondo stepped up again. At the start of this season, I would not have picked him for the final three, but now... His outfit was the clear winner. I am glad that the outfit got such good reviews before Mondo told the story of his design to the judges. Has anyone from the previous seasons ever won three in a row?

April is another one I would not have picked for being in the final three at the start of the season, but she has also stepped up.

I thought Christopher's top was much better than Gretchen's. I also liked Michael's outfit. I thought it was cute and quirky.

So, does anyone else want to guess which will be the fainal three from the six remaining contestants?

Well, unless something weird happens, and it certainly can, I'd pick Mondo, April and Gretchen, with Andy possibly replacing on of the gals, IF he doesn't loose his way again this next week.

In my heart, I'd add Mike and drop one of the girls (Gretchen, please) but I don't think it will happen.

I usually want one of the underdogs there at the end, though.
And I usually dislike most of the female finalists, not all, but most.

The judges are such snobs sometimes, especially Nina.

It certainly was the Mondo show, wasn't it? I really like his style of mixing patterns. His personal HIV story was nearly heartbreaking for me, and I have to say that using the imagery of the plus sign to express HIV positive AND a positive outlook was something I'd never heard of or considered before. Compelling.

A couple days later and I barely remember the rest of the designs.

I'll sidestep the snobbery discussion regarding the judges and just mention that I do find myself laughing along with some of their more biting comments. Kors can be especially hilarious sometimes.

Somewhat related - if you're a Joan Rivers fan, she is being HILARIOUS on the current season of Fashion Police on E!. No, not friendly at all, but funny! Pick a finga!

Oh, yes, they're funny.
Kors, especially, in his black tee, black sports jacket and black jeans.
Oh, and black shoes and socks.
What a uniform!
He designs lovely things, though.

It's strange, but I still remember April's tree and Mike's tie.
The rest are pretty gone in my head.

And I thought Gretchen was a horrible person. The return of the auf'ed had Ivy being a bitter old B****. And I think she thought she came out of that on top.

Anyway, on to the fashions. Andy's line was good, but I liked Mondo's line better. I think the judges just didn't want to have a contestant win 4 in a row. I liked the hoodie and the t-shirt/pants outfits, but the dress left me cold. April's designs were alright, but she did that sheer top thing again and I still don't like it.

Gretchen "I shouldn't have been in the bottom three." There are only six of you. You were actually number 4. Get over yourself. Your outifts didn't come close to Mondo's or Andy's and the judges liked April's more than yours. Deal with it.

Looking at the outfits again, I like Christopher's more than Michael's. This was supposed to be light casual active wear, right? Michael's seem too heavy looking to me. Christopher's looked more in line with the assignment. But the judges also said that Christopher's looked cheaply made and I think that was a fair critism.

It sounded like 2 people are going to be eliminated next week. I predict that Micahel and Gretchen are the one's to be auf'ed. I think the show always wants a mix of genders for the final three. So unless April really blows it, I think she will be in the final three over Gretchen.

Chris' should have been the best made, didn't he have Ivy as his teammate?
frown

And Cassanova was very hurtful to Mike, too.
I don't understand why the others do that to Mike.
We saw in the tapes, unless Runway edited it out, that Mike never told anyone to not vote for Ivy.
I seem to remember Valerie or Gretchen telling her that and it just wasn't true.

I thought the attacks from the others might have upset Mike, throwing him off his game.
sigh

Anyway, I agree, Mondo, April and Andy.
I don't think April is that good, but if Gretchen takes a nose dive, she'll be there.

I only hope that Runway does what it's done the last few years and has all five of them actually show and only puts the ones they pick on the show, on air.

That's Mike, Mondo, Andy, Gretchen, April, and Chris, right!

No wonder Ivy and Valerie are upset!
Poor girls!

I'll have to check out the Runway site again and see if they're showing the collections yet.

Mike made it to the final 4!
Hurray and unbelieveable!
Hurray!

And they dropped April.
Wild.

And Mondo actually chose Mike as one of the other two he'd like to see show.
sigh

I'm crossing my fingers for next week.
If Mike gets to go officially to the show, he has a strong chance of a life changing step up in his career, even if he doesn't win.

It was nice to see Christian again, imo, too.

I think even Michael was shocked when Mondo named him as someone to go to fashion week.

This elimination round is the most emotional one I can remember. I was sorry to see April go. Just on personality, I wuldn't have mind seeing Gretchen go. Although they have been softening her in the last couple of episodes.

Of the outfits, I think they were all pretty forgettable except for Michael's. It was the clear winner. But I also thought the slit was too high and I thought the back was a bit too low. I thought the model's but could have popped out at any moment.

Mondo's would have been better if he could have worked with that sequined cloth and have incorporated it into the outfit.

I have been liking the hour and a half episodes.

Without the models, thank goodness.

Blacula said that he read that Chris March is going to get his own series soon!
I'm excited for him and I hope it's true.

PS - Would anyone know where to go to find the runway collections from the 6 this year?
I couldn't find them on the official site.
sigh
