just noticed that a remake of "The Amityville Horror" has been made !! when's it out in the US ??

there was something about this film that really got me as a kid !! i don't think it really scared me, but it was something about the "house" it really had a character of it's own !!!

and when i saw photo's of the real house, it got me really interested in it, i think at the time, i really wanted to go to the actual place and see the house !!!

i did a search, and it mentions that the house is still there now !!! but the owners over the years have tried to change the facade, to distract tourists !!!

it was those window's that did it !!! they really looked like "eyes" .....

April 15th is the date I've heard. A trailer for it can be found at http://www.mgm.com/amityville/. Not sure if I'm looking forward to this or not. The original was a favorite of mine as a teen. But of course I love horror movies in general.

And did you know that Ryan Reynolds (Blade Trinity and possibly The Flash) is playing the part of George Lutz, the role James Brolin had in the original?

just watched the trailer, i'll go see it [ if only for the house, i love it, there's just something compelling about it !! ]

That red door in the basement still freaks me out to this day. I can't see a red door on a house or apartment without thinking about it.

did you see any of the later [ crap !!! ] films ??? i seem to remember a stupid one about someone buying a LAMP from the original house, which is evil !!! and one about a DOLL's HOUSE !!!

never saw the "3D" one though !!! always wanted too .....

Didn't care for any of the sequels. Don't remember if I ever saw the 3D version though. I remember Friday the Thirteenth 3: 3D though. Not as bad as the 3D Jaws though.
