24 (TV): HEAVY SPOILERS for Season 2 ahead. AICN has learned major details of the third season's first episode set to premiere in the US on October 28th and overseas early next year. This season will start and end at 1pm, is definitely set three years after the events of the season finale, and opens with a rotting corpse infected with “pnuematic plague” (PNP) being dumped on the doorstep National Health Services building. Jack is now the LA Director of field ops at CTU, whilst Tony runs a different CTU department and has just been offered a job at CIA's Virginia headquarters. Jack has spent the last year or so hunting narco-terrorist Ramon Salazar down and in fact spent six months undercover posing as his friend before bringing him to justice. Salazar's associates (incl. his brother Hector and his trophy wife) are threatening to unleash 'weaponized PNP' into the general population, killing millions unless Ramon is freed that evening. Kate (Sarah Wynter) and Jack seemed to have had and left a relationship, she only appears once and calls him asking him to get his stuff out of her house. Jack's daughter Kim has become the CTU's computer whiz (thank god no cougars or hicks this time) and the pair both have secrets they're not disclosing (looks like Jack may be ill, and Kim might be gay). Palmer is up for re-election and there's several references to his 'weakened state' and a scarred hand - seems he's still suffering the effects of Mandy's handshake.

24 is the name of the show. Keifer Sutherland as a government agent with each episode told in real time. So one season of 24 episodes covers the events of one full day. Season 2 is just finishing in the UK and season 3 is coming up in, I think, October in the US.

well i've just finished watching the season finale of "24" !!!!

i thought it was great !!!! and i'm glad it lived up to my expectations .....

can't wait to see what happens in season 3 and which cast members will return !!!!

i read your spoilers SCOTT !!! some interesting things are gonna happen .....

shame we'll have to wait till January of next year to see it

That's the only problem with 24. Having to wait for another season.

Right now I'm just waiting for the DVD release of season 2 since it is supposed to have deleted scenes.

COOL! Fox just showed about a 3-5 minute sneak preview of the next season of 24! The new season starts here on Oct. 28 and is supposed to be commercial free. Looks like a another great year. Now if I can just finish last season's episodes before the 28th.

I looked around for a synopsis but couldn't find one. It shows what Jack has been up to and his new partner. It also showcased Kim. Basically it confirmed the spoilers that started this thread.
