well i finally got round to watching my "ALIAS": Season One DVD [ i got last Christmas !! ]

so over the last 3 weeks, i've watched a couple of episodes, every other day !!

and i finished it over the weekend !!

i really enjoyed how the season moved forward, with the different plotlines developing !!

it was great half way through, where we find out about the RAMBALDI "Prophecy" !! and it may be about Sydney !!??

the following episode "Q&A" was a great "origin" story [ even though alot a details were given in the pilot ] it reminded me of "origin" stories that have appeared in comics ....

i loved the revelation that it is Sydney's mother, that was the KGB spy !! and this all lead to a great season finale !!

as well as the great storylines, JENNIFER GARDNER looked FAB in every episode [ she must have a lot of fun, having to wear all the great wigs / outfits !!! ]

the supporting cast a great too, what with VAUGHN, SLONE, DIXON, JACK and .... her MOTHER !!!

all in all, a great show !!!

i've just started on Season Two, this evening .....

so where are you up to in the US, has Season Three started yet ??

I thought we were up to season four? Maybe it is just season three this year. It doesn't start until January so it will run uninterrupted (no off weeks or repeats) until the end of the season. And it will air on Wednesdays after Lost so I'll be watching.

well i already know a little about the MASSIVE cliffhanger for the season final of [ season two ] ....

so have you seen the resolution to this "shock" !!?? if so .... that would mean, you would be up to season four, coming on ???

I haven't. We've only seen some of the first season. Haven't seen any of two or three (which I just confirmed ended back in May). So we are getting ready for season four in January.

well !!

since my last thread on this topic, i've just finished watching the second season in record time !!

this season rocked, it was amazing !! the plot was great, and i loved not knowing what side her mother was on ?? [ i think they played her really well, i liked her !! ]

the development with Slone and Rambaldi got even more interesting and the fall of the SD cells was cool !!

there were quite a few episodes where i was sat on the edge of my seat and i was shouting out "oh my god" !!!

and although i remember reading [ here ] about the season finale cliff-hanger, it was still amazing, infact the whole of the last episode was great !!

the fight at the end !!! wow !!! her mother jumping from the roof and doing a "Die Hard" was great !!!

my only regret is that i watched them too fast !!!

season 3 is not available here in the UK yet !!!

so i've got a long wait to find out what happens ...... and the great thing is, i don't actually know !!!

the upsetting thing with watching all my "BUFFY" dvd seasons one after another [ over the last year ] was that the cliff-hangers and certain key epiosdes weren't a surprise, beacuse i'd already seeen them !!!

so it was cool watching the last 2 seasons of "ALIAS" without alrady knowing what had happened !!!

can't wait to find out what happens next

I don't want to comment too much without possibly blowing any secrets (I don't remember where the story left off at the end of S2), but Lena Olin does an amazing job as Sydney's mom! This show just chugs along at breakneck speed with one twist after another and I can't wait til January when the new season starts!

So will season 4 be easy to pick up on you think? I plan on getting the DVDs of the first 3 seasons just based on how much you guys all love the show but I don't want to start another hour long show if I need to see the other seasons first.

Come January I'll have four hours worth of drama to be watching. 24, Lost, Desperate Housewives and Alias. That's a lot of tv time for me during the week.

well from what i've seen so far with seasons 1 and 2, the world of "ALIAS" is quite complex [ and with the big cliff-hanger of season 2 ] not sure how this leads into season 3, at the moment ??

i would think it would be pretty hard to get into season 4, without seeeing any of the others .....

Hey Ultra-Matthew! Lee and I LOOOOVE us some Alias! We watch it sitting on the edge of our couch every night it's on, and we can't WAIT until season 4 starts in January. It's gonna be an amazing night of TV, starting with Lost and then going straight into Alias!

I can't BELIEVE you've been loving it so much! Isn't Lena Olin just the BEST as Irina???

she was amazing in the final episode of season 2 !!! loved her with the 2 guns and then jumping from the roof top [ and doing a "Die Hard" !!! ]

so without giving away, season 3 ..... does IRINA return ???

i still don't know when 3 is out on DVD in the UK yet ?? it's not on any DVD website's with a release date, at the moment .....

Alias Rocks, and with the addition of Isabella Rosellini (God I love saying that name very quickly, over and over lol) it only got better! But somewhere along the way of season 3 I ended up missing a few episodes and got lost, so I'm hoping they repeat the last few before they kick into season 4.

That's the thing about this series, it's layers are SO intricate that if you miss a small piece, it's relatively easy to get lost in the fog.

"Arvin Clone"?

The casting of Joel Grey as Sloane's doppleganger was a stroke of genius! I used to get the two actors confused all the time, so the casting tickles me to no end. I have to wonder if a lot of others get them confused and this is a wink to the audience, or is it just me?

I'm glad they're picking up on the Rimbaldi thing again (though it's been so long since we last saw the big red ball, I don't really remember what it was). Also good to see Sloane return to his maniacal side - the show's just more fun that way.

wow I haven't watched any of season 4 This used to be my favorite show... now I don't even think I could muster up the courage to watch... the ensuing headache due to all the entangled deails of which I know nothing about is enough to keep me away.

Maybe I'll be able to catch up during summer re-runs. <fingers crossed>

Wow. This week's episode... just WOW.

And incidentally, Lena Olin IS COMING BACK for the season 4 finale.

i'm trying to not read the last couple of posts, as i'm only up the end of season 2 !! i'm really please to see that season 3 is out on DVD here in the UK, at the end of May !!

so for season 3, doesn't SYD get a "sister" !!?? played by MELISSA GEORGE [ who's in the new "AMITYVILLE" !!?? ]

Melissa George plays Vaughn's .... hm, maybe I shouldn't say. But no, she's not Syd's sister. Her half-sister comes later (and I'm not telling which parent they have in common).

We all just hate her.
