(Not a political question.)

I like: fresh sliced tomatoes, cooked beets with a little butter, cooked spinach the same way, ditto with corn (on the cob or not), fried zucchini (yum!), raw carrots, mashed potatoes, cucumbers.

Don't like: rhubarb (yech!), green beans, peas, brussel sprouts (bitter!!), cauliflower, yams.

Celery is just kinda there.

Dislikes: cabbage (except cole slaw), cauliflower, zucchini, rhubarb, black-eye peas, spinach

Indifferent: carrots, celery

Garden Rorschach test, hmm?

I like all vegetables if they're home grown - they have a much better flavour. But I like most of the store-bought stuff too.

One exception: Jerusalem artichokes. They are often praised in back-to-the-land books and by people like Euell Gibbons - I grew them a couple years and they were the worst-tasting thing I ever pulled off the land. Maybe they're why people gave up on homesteading.

I actually like pretty much any vegetable as long as it's not cooked. For me it's not so much the taste of things that i dislike, it's the texture. As such while I love raw carrot, cabbage and so on I can't stand them if they're cooked (with the exception of things like carrot and tomato if they're in sauces and chopped up small).

There are exceptions though, things I hate whatever. Technically they're fruits but I can't stand courgettes (zucchini? Or is that marrow), marrow or squash. Horrible, horrible texture and just a nasty taste too. I also don't like mushrooms, although do occasionally like raw field mushrooms (not with anything, just eaten on their own).

Veg I especially like are peppers, carrot, cucumber (again technically a fruit) and radishes, all of which I'll quite happily eat as a snack as well as part of a meal. I love peas and potatoes too (although again neither are techincally vegetables. Damn I'm being pedantic today).

And unlike others have mentioned I *adore* rhubarb. It's one of the few things that I get real cravings for. It's often hard to get really good quality rhubarb and if it's not good quality then it just tends to taste of slightly bitter stringy nothing, but when it's good it's fabulous. Just gently cooked rhubarb with home made egg custard. MMM, yummy. love

Like: Corn, Carrots, Potatos

Tolerate: Canned Green Beans

Hate: Every other vegetable you can think of.

Special Hates: Not exactly a vegetable, but "minced" meat pies and boiled raisins are right up there with cabbage/brussel sprouts as being the worse tasting stuff on the planet.

Like: Corn, Raw Carrots, Celery, Yellow Beans, Green Beans, Potatoes, and Lettuce.

Dislike: All others

Althought I will eat Squash pie (when I was young, we always had "Pumpkin" pie because I wouldn't eat Squash pie)

I'm a bit suspicious of vegetables, much to my girlfriend's disgust.

Likes: carrots, potatoes, beans, tomatoes, peas, onions, mushrooms, spinach, cucumber, lettuce, peppers.

Dislike: brussel sprouts, courgettes, marrows, squashes, asparagus, cauliflower and cabbage - yuck!!!

smile Ronald Reagan?

mad BOOOOO, Bad Blockade Boy. Nothing humorous in that.

smile Sorry, I'm a recessive democrat.

mad Answer the thread question!

smile Most any with the exceptions of Brussel Sprouts or cooked cabbage (except in soup).

Cooking preference: steamed over lemon water or lightly boiled, still crisp.

Love Greek Salad anytime, or on a hot day diced Tomatoes and Cucumber with a yogurt dressing.

fav veggies would be:
-- broccoli, spinach, green beans, peas, carrots, chinese spinach, tomatoes, onions (are they a vegetable?)

-- honestly, I can't think of a vegetable that I "dislike" ... I even like Kale (although I will say, no vegetable or veggie-product can replace MEAT!!)

Don't ask me to eat these, 'cause I won't no matter how they are cooked/prepared: BEETS, BRUSSEL SPROUTS, COLLARD/TURNIP GREENS

I'm surprised by how much I've grown to love these veggies through the years: BROCCOLI, ARTICHOKE HEARTS, RED/YELLOW/GREEN BELL PEPPERS

I'll eat it but if I never did again I wouldn't cry: ASPARAGUS

Good for anything that ails ya: ONIONS

Beans, beans, good for the heart; I can't think of any bean I dislike...

Corn is yummy and carrots are great cooked with sugar.

I can only eat it Italian style: SPINACH

Heirloom Tomato Salad with goat cheese, ex. virgin Olive Oil, a little salt and peppers, FRESH basil, purple bell peppers. Chilled....ah....nice treat for me and my partner to eat since the weather here is HOT - 100 degrees!

Heirloom Tomatoes mixed with Onion, Jalapeno, Cilantro, Olive Oil, salt and pepper, some herbs, assorted peppers for salsa tomorrow - watching football games!! I wish you all guys can join me watching football games and dip in my salsa. smile
