Here's something I found online.
"A highly reliable source in the animation industry tells Comics2Film that Warner Bros. Animation has greenlit a TV series starring Superman's dog Krypto. The show will be for younger viewers. Comics2Film first broke the news of a planned "Krypto" animated show back in May when we interviewed Cartoon Network chief Sam Register. Our source today was unclear whether or not the show was still targeted at Cartoon Network, Kids WB! or some other outlet."
I suppose the further they go with cartoons, they'll eventually have to consider one for the Legion, won't they?

Would Krypto talk in the cartoon? Could be painful. Not suitable for impressionable adults.

Would Superboy even show up, so they can target slightly older viewers? Or would it be a "legacy" of Lassie's... "Huh? What's that, Krypto? Superboy's is in trouble? But he's invulnerable..." "Stupid human! It's Metallo! Kryptonite, get it? KRYPTONITE!!!! Now are you going to come or do I have tobite your *@&/!@* foot off???!!!"

Hey I used to write for Comics2Film (still post art there)! Rob Worley, the site founder/editor is a really cool guy. I was trying to think, in the past what cartoons have featured mute main characters? Snoopy...what else? Hmm...

Well, Pikachu only says his name over and over and over, but I guess he's not the main character.
And hey, they were all mute before the talkies were invented...

*knows SoM's true feelings of about Krypto*
He has a SuperDog Puppet! Plus he made a banner of it. He's in denial of his affection for the Super-Pets.

Wow -
A Krypto animated series before a Legion one?
And Aquaman is doing better in sales than the Legion?
Something else else is not right with the world ...

Eh, that won't last. This is like, what, his 12th try at an ongoing series? Be canceled inside of a year and a half.

From Krypto's Story: Dogtime
STREAKY: There's a field of mice May I live to see Where the birds are flightless And the catnip's free Let the salmon spawn Oh Bast I pray We'll never see Pet Heaven Till we reach that day!
KRYPTO: It's a ball to fetch It's to heel with pride It's a bowl of kibble We have been denied Where a boy can live And a dog can play We'll never see Pet Heaven Till we reach that day!

I hope my earlier post didn't sound too dismissive or ridiculing. But it kinda rankles that Krypto would get a series before the Legion does... Assuming the rumors are true, of course. Yes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Awww, I bet you couldn't even name three members of that autstere group.
So you're a SCPA fan, PB? It was a canine version of the Legion, right? I remember they had: Chameleon Collie = Cham Hot Dog = Sun Boy Mammoth Mutt = Colossal Boy Prophetic Pup = Dream Girl Tusky Husky = I guess that's Tusker Tail Terrier = Spider Girl? Elastic Lad?

Be canceled inside of a year and a half.[/b]Four months to go on your prediction. And they just brought in a new writer who is kicking off with an epic storyline, so I'd say two years is a better guess. And if I haven't mentioned this before, Krypto rocks.

Especially considering that I was bluffing. I could not have recalled even one of those mutt's names to save my life! I don't actually have any of those issues...

[/b]No, no. A year and a half from now. Guarentee it. Alan Moore & Neil Gaiman combined couldn't make Aquachump interesting.

Hooray for Krypto! I pure love that mutt of steel. Although, bizarrely, I've always hated Superboy and Superman. What does that say about me? Hmmm...
Does this mean we can expect a Krypto archives?
