I thought that Alex Ross painting on the LW page, in the top left corner box was her, but it's the cover to JSA #3, evidently.
Did anyone else think it was Zoe?
Who IS it?

Maxine Hunkel-- the all-new all-now RED TORNADO! Well, granddaughter of the original anyway.
Codename to be determined but it might be CYCLONE!

Well, with that floaty red hair and green fabric, she looks like Kinetix!
(Am I the only one here who doesn't read JSA?)
Thanks, Lash!

If you aren't reading the current JSA Dean you'll need to turn in your Legion flight ring.

Okay, okay! I bought JSA #s 1 and 2 and subscribed to have it in my box at the CBS!!
It is a very good story so far and I LOVE the stuff with Thom!!! Hey, maybe Dreamy'll make an appearance? We know Dawny's coming!

Good for you, Dean!
Historically, JSA stands alongside Legion as my sentimental favorites!

I still get JLA and Avengers, but I feel a bit distant from them. Now I'm a JSA reader. Maybe I'll get hooked.
I'm sure it's clear that it's all about the Legion for me, though.
Seriously, that picture totally looks like Zoe!

She would be a perfect older Zoe - not a lot older, but that pic looks much less flighty/cute than Zoe tended to be. There's a lot of power in that image, and Zoe's origin was all about seeking power. As she matured, she could have mastered power more effectively. Unfortunately, DnA gave us a Zoe in the Science Police who, instead, remained self-absorbed, flighty and bubble-headed,until she got turned into a machine, then a zombie - even worse.

I passed a place called KINETIX Physical Therapy today and wondered if the owner was a Legion fan.

And now that Dean is well on his way to becoming a JSA fanatic (it's GOING to happen!!) dare we hope for sketches of all the JSA femme fatales....?
Hippolyta, the Ma Hunkel Red Tornado, the original and current Black Canary, Liberty Belle (original and present), Hawkgirl, Huntress, Power Girl, Stargirl, Jade, Fury, the late girl-Wildcat and girl-Dr. Midnight and Maxine Hunkel?
Dean has a whole new legion of ladies to fall in love with!

Gee FC, I never saw Zoe as being flighty or a bubble-head. (the exception being after the anomoly story, which I feel was where Zoe first became doomed as a character) Yeah, she did the changing costume thing. However she was always the self-assured, strong, and intellegent young lady.

Dean has a whole new legion of ladies to fall in love with! I noticed that there are only 4 JSA women in the group shown in the two issues I've ever read. My Pinup Model competitions tend to have 5 contestants. I wonder if there'll ever be another female JSA member? Then... it's ON!

Too cheery too often, though not as bad as Monstress. Her shining moment for me was when she got a real sour look on her face and told Violet she wouldn't bother giving a gift to Andromeda.

I think Zoe's bubbleheadedness was more of a mixture of vanity and self-confidence than silly cheer. Of course, her Legion Worlds 1 personality was pretty bad; she was better around the time when she lost the tail and before the Anomaly.
