In the interest of creating my first fanfic, loosely based on the characters within the LMBP, I've read the entire Who's Who and What's your LMBP Power? threads. But there's still lots of information I'd like to learn about LMBers. Therefore, I'm debuting my new talkshow, The Poster's Studio, on the Legion World Network. Stop by and we'll entertain the masses.

(Shakes hand and directs you to a comfortable chair. We sit.)

You usually go by STU and I believe you've also been called Stuey, Stu Rat, and Iron Rat. Any other colorful IDs that you've had during your tenure with the LMBP?

Nightcrawler.

Now, now, STU. Let's not get my show pulled off the air during the first interview. Though it might be good press, if you did.

I've read that you possess the ability to weave magic that is accompanied by holographic rats. Sounds formidable. Have your powers become any more definable since you first revealed this?

Well, there was that whole Dark STU incident. My normal costume turned red, and I had this giant flaming rodent aura behind me.

Oh, and all my speech balloons had a heavy, black line around them, to make them seem all menacing and stuff.

Which side of the line do you prefer to walk, STU? Good? Bad? Bi-ethical?

Seriously, though, I'd like to ask you about your rat and puppy incarnations. Beast that you are, why do you choose these animals as your primary totems?

I have one foot on either side of the line.

"Rat" came from "StuRat," which is a (sort of) misspelling of Stuart.

The puppy came from an avatar I had, which was of the wiener dog puppy from Liberty Meadows. And then, when I was LW Leader, my avatar changed in keeping with my status -- it was a pic of one of Semi's lovely puppies!

Do you now or have you ever posted as Rody the Super-Rat? Or is this just a tabloid rumor?

I've wondered who the Liberty Meadows fan is among the board - signs now point to you, though I'm sure there are others.

Is it safe to describe you as a sorcerer in canine form who practices rat magic?

What Legionnaires inspire you?

1) [whistles]

2) I like Liberty Meadows as much as the next person, but there are definitely more avid fans out there.

3) How about a human sorcerer who frequently takes different animal forms, and who practices rat magic?

4) The magic-wielding ones! I even like Mordru.

Are there any heroic exploits you'd care to plug while you're here?

Any dire schemes you'd like to reveal?

I believe you're celebrating your fifth year anniversary with the LMBP, this month.

I absolutely recall my LEGION WORLD membership number... unlucky 13!

Sort-of... this month marks the 5-Year anniversary of me taking the plunge and "officially" going on-line... and registering at the old DC board.

I've read that you began the thread called "Legion of Message Board Posters" on the old DCMBs. So, in effect, you founded the LMBP. What were your intentions in creating that thread and do you consider yourself the "R. J. Brande of the LMBP"?

Honestly, the thread was a lark. I even took the easy route by "drafting" posters I felt comfortable with (Lardlad, Shady, Cobie, Todd "Tsarin" (AKA Mystery Lad) to cofound the group. In the initial post, I state that there was a limit of 25 members. I was curious to see if all the "slots" would fill up.

1000-plus posts later, all inklings for a limit of number of members was long gone.

The LMB was here and our numbers were Legion.

I'd rather be known as the Good Time Charlie of the LMB.

That's what I like to call you at least.

Rumors abound, Lash, but would you share with us the exact powers and abilities of Lash Lad? Is the whip functional or purely decorative?

Oh, the days of Lash Lad using bondage equipment as crimefighting gear are long passed, I'm afraid!

You may have heard that for a while I was possessed by the reality-altering powers of the retconforce?

Well, don't dare tell ANYONE, but... I still have 'em. Now you know why I always get my way!

Keep it on the down-low! Big secret! Wouldn't want everyone all scared I might eradicate 'em from existence and stuff.

Well, as long as you tell them it's only a reimagining, I'm sure they won't mind.

I've read reports of a MLLASH Lass, Android MLLASH, Super MLLASH Tot, and Peepaw? Are these relatives of yours and will we see them again?

Android MLLASH was a robot I built... when I realized I couldn't make it look exactly like Matt Damon, I decided to have it scrapped, but the stupid thing went all berserk and stuff and started stalking me! It also had this freaky notion in its robot head that it wanted to kill Matt Damon. *sigh* I've since given up on the notion of building android sex slaves.

I was Super Lash Tot a few years ago, when I retconned myself into a baby during a drunken pity-party with Seahorse at the Red Light Lounge!

More recently, I was both MLLASH Lass and Peepaw MLLASH when I somehow transformed into a woman and an old man, respectively. Fortunately, the Emerald Empress was able to fix me. MLLASH Lass had great knockers!

I'd like to mention some of Lash's projects at this time. Matter-Eater Lad: the Series, DOOMED GAY ROMANCE, Trash Lass: Girl Garbage Collector, and the All-Smiley Theater. You're obviously a very prolific creator.

Word is, that you and EDE will be creating a new series set in the postboot universe. What will be the premise of this new series? Spoil us, please.

Well, MEL:TS has always been strictly set in the postboot universe, but what with the recent TITANS/LEGION sitch and the re-imagining, I was a little bamboozled about whether or not to continue with it. I needed something to say to me, "It's OKAY to continue this. You don't have to destroy or ignore what you and Eryk have worked so hard on."

Something else else did. An idea smacked me in the face not unlike an angry lover's skillet might. "Nature abhors a vacuum... Long live the Legion!" It's MEL:TS-- still it postboot continuity-- after a 5-Month Gap following the final issue.... I promise you great stuff! Eryk and I are about to burst with ideas!

(The room explodes with anticipatory APPLAUSE!)

(A 5'4" humanoid woman in her early twenties stumbles onto the stage. She has long black hair and is dressed in orange-reddish leather. She looks at her already seated guest and then at the audience. Composing herself, she sits down.)

(The disembodied voice announces: LMBer Miss Terious has been rebooted by Father Rett-Kon of Our Sister of the Breasted Virgin. This is "technically" her first interview and meeting with Outdoor Miner.)

Um... yeah. What he said.

(Looks at her cards.)

So how long have you been a member of the LMBP, Ogre Diner?

Long enough to know better.

It says here that you play the "mellotron." What's a mellotron and are you any good at it?

Basically, the 'tron is a keyboard whose keys trigger tapes which play back various pre-recorded sounds: strings, reeds, choirs, you name it. I'm currently playing it in LW's finest rock colossus, Calamity, and every night at the Lonely Hearts Club.

The great thing about the 'tron is that one does not have to be particularly good at it to get cool sounds out of it.

(Hmmmm, looking at her cards.)

Apparently I own Lonely Hearts, too. In that case, you deserve a raise. And a larger benefits package.

According the notes, you are a very important member of the Security Office on Legion World. What are your primary duties and what cases are you currently working on?

I am so deep cover within the Security Office that not even I know what it is I actually do.

I am, however, currently working part-time as Cobalt Kid's conscience.

(Hiccups. A blinding flash and O.W.L. Girl has been retconned as Myriad. All other story elements still apply.)

(Dazed, Myriad's eyelashes flutter and her vision clears. She looks up and sees LMBer Outdoor Miner.)

So, tell me, what's it like being an insectoid sentient on a world full of mostly humanoids?

No, I kid. It's fine, really. Everyone's done so much to make me feel like I belong here. And the beer's free. What more could a bug ask for?

Do you ever miss the comfort of a hive mind society, Odor Merger?

Is it true that you are currently romantically involved with a certain stool at SHAKES? Will wedding bells be ringing anytime soon?

That's a great question, Myrgis.

I don't, actually. My capacity for independant thought would make me unconfortable with such an arrangement.

But if I did, I suppose with my abilities I could find one fairly quickly.

We're just good friends.

I think I'm remembering you better, now, Outdoor Miner. If I recall correctly, you are a true musical connoiseur.

Tell us, what genres do you prefer and who are your top 5 favorite performers or groups of all time?

I believe it was Louis Armstrong who once said that there are only two kinds of music: good and bad. I like all kinds of music, though I primarily listen to rock and jazz these days.

Top 5 of all time is a tough one, and the list often changes. The Beatles and King Crimson are perrenials, though. Miles Davis and Duke Ellington have to be up there as well. Basically, I won't dismiss anything without giving it a good listen first.

Miner, you're the first bug I ever took the time to talk to. I'm better for having had the pleasure. Thank you for being my first postboot interview and do come back.
