Nope, not New Zealand either! I'm pretty sure they haven't quite gotten around to legalizing gay marriage yet - though we'd still live to visit.

New Zealand passed it two weeks ago, though it doesn't take effect till August. "Not all that gay friendly"?!?!
Last I heard Singapore had a ways to go to even get up to "gay non-lethal". Compare to neighbors Brunei or Malaysia though... While semantically the word would technically apply, I wouldn't consider one person "better" if he only wanted to cut off my hand as opposed to his neighbor wanting to add both legs.

Thanks for the NZ info. To be fair, laws penalizing gay sex are enforced much more loosely in Singapore, than in Brunei or Malaysia. Spain is not it, as we have our sights set on a country with a cooler climate. The USA is a top choice, but ultimately we decided to target another country.

It is not Iceland Singapore Australia New Zealand Spain USA Netherlands It is a very gay-friendly country.

The recent steps taken towards legalizing gay marriage in the country have bumped it way up in our list of places we wanna live in. Combine that with breathtaking sights (Paris, Versailles, Marseilles, Mont St. Michel, Bordeaux), and the proximity to many other European countries (Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Switzerland etc.) and we are sure we wanna live there.
