Sure.

I make mine the GOOD way-- with LOTS of shredded cheese to offset the nutrition of the broccoli!

I like 'em, too! I never buy 'em, though, because they're a PAIN to ripen and cut! And the pre-sliced ones are often pricey. A little salt on some fresh canteloupe, though =

I have to confess that I don't get the whole broccoli and cheese thing. I eat broccoli - lightly steamed - when I'm feeling the need for something light, healthy and flavorful. The cheese kind of overwhelms the flavor of the broccoli.

I occasionally pay the extra for the pre-sliced cantaloupe since I live alone. There's no way I could eat a whole one on my own, before it goes bad.

I regularly eat a cantaloupe (or honeydew, or personal watermelon) as a meal, in one sitting. Good stuff, and no work at all, just cut it in half, scoop out the guts and pull out the big spoon! (Even less work for the personal watermelons, and they aren't as heavy as the others.) Also a super cheap meal, since you can usually get a cantaloupe around here for 2 bucks or less.

Also a big fan of broccoli and cheese, but not so much the rice. I'll eat rice when I'm in a hurry (those microwavable Uncle Ben's dealies for a buck fiddy, since I am mucho cheapass), but I don't like it in my actual food dishes. Like pasta or bread, rice seems like filler to me, that gets in the way of actual food.

Broccoli, cheese and cream of mushroom soup all baked together makes a yummy dish. (Add chicken, for extra carnivore happiness.)
