Gim Allon of Earth was fascinated with ancient wonders. One day he dug up the pieces of an ancient statue - the Colossus of Rhodes. When he touched his marvelous find, the statue reformed and thanked him for unearthing it!

Now Gim Allon has his very own giant statue to command (although he has a devil of a time keeping it decent). The media have dubbed him Colossal Boy.

The world lost to the Robotican forces. The legion were forced to abandon Legion World and Earth. Now, Earth is a tecnoorganic hybrid world. with the hyper taxis energy transforming everyone and every thing, some of the heroes who opted to stay behind are still trying to find away to fight.

one such hero is Particon. able to sense energy fields and disrupt them she tried to infiltrate Computo's base and tried to disrupt the hypertaxis energy with her energy lance. however it backfired. when she disrupted the hypertaxis energy it washed over her, trasformer her and changing her to a human machine hyprid, capable of disrupting any energy field and any machine. She's able to separate machines with a wave of her hand.

once taken captive by Computo, he offered her a choice to serve him or die. She chose to rebel and freed herself. joining with other machine life who opposed Computo's tyrannical ways Particon has become a freedom fighter trying to save what once was and what still is.

Let's just say all turned out well in the end. He became fully human and lived happily ever after with Kathy Sutton and Traya.

Corgra was ugly (by Khundian standards) and her family reminded her of this fact on a daily basis. She had resigned herself to a life of constant ridicule, but when she hit puberty her mutant ability emerged. Corgra could control water in all its forms. Using an old style space helmet, Corgra filled it with water vapor, creating a veil of mist. But still she was picked on by those who knew her. So, when she reached the age of majority, she left Khundia and traveled throughout the empire, keeping her ugly appearance hidden in the mist.

On a trip near the United Planets territories, the ship Corgra was on developed engine troubles. The ship was adrift for 3 days until the ship was hailed by the Legion of Superheroes. Corgra had grown up believing the tales that the United Planets and the Legion were evil incarnate, so she expected the Legionnaires to board the ship and kill everyone on board. She was surprised to see these Legionnaires giving assistance to Khundians. Then one of the Legionnaires, who was as hideous as Corgra, approached her. "I am Dream Girl of the Legion of Superheroes. My power is to foresee the future and I have had a strong vision of you and the good you can do. Come with us to Earth." Corgra was startled by this, but with no other plans, she thought "why not".

On Earth Dream Girl introduced her to Marla Lantham, who enrolled Corgra in the Legion Academy. There Corgra developed her mutant abilities. She could form hard water constructs, attract/condense water vapor, and control the flow of water and water vapor. Although she soon realized that by Earth standards she was not ugly, most people were scared of her because she was Khundian. So she kept the face obscured in the helmet and mist. As such she adopted the code name Veilmist.

Young Venus' parents loved ancient Earth mythologies, especially the Greek and Roman writings. Not surprisingly, Venus was raised on a healthy diet of tales of gods and goddesses.

She should have known better. On a dig in Greece, she chanced upon a box. Curious, she opened it - and fell into a faint.

When she woke up, she found she could see people's souls. She knew their past and future lives, and could see how dark or light they were.

She took the name Psyche, which means "soul". But she prefers to live alone, because knowledge of the inner souls of others can be a tormenting thought.

Gas Girl

Tal Nahii was a child prodigy in Chemistry. When she was 13, she tried out for the Legion of Superheroes. She had developed several different types of gas that when she inhaled them would temporarily allow her to shrink, grow to giant size, give her super speed, give her super strength, fly, become intangible, and allow her to make feathers as heavy as lead. She was rejected because 1) all her temporary powers were duplicates of Active Legionnaires, and 2) her powers came from a device rather than being natural.

As she walked dejectedly across Weisinger Plaza, Tal was approached by a man accompanied by an android. The man had a electronic collar. When it flashed, the android spoke "They were foolish to waste a talent such as yours. Come with me and I will help you hone your talent and allow you to utilize it for your best." Tal decide to see what the man had to offer and so followed him away.
