It occurred to me after I posted this question that there could be more than one answer, as I haven't read every comic book in existence. So if you know and can cite an instance where this is true, it's all yours, even if it isn't my original answer!
A hint for context: the character I'm thinking of believed they were Supergirl for at least three consecutive comic issues.
