Blacula has it!
Caitlin Fairchild, leader of Gen 13, had amnesia and spent the entire Gen 13 / Superman mini series believing she was Supergirl. Gen 13 was an Image property that interacted with Marvel and DC characters somewhat regularly in one shot or mini format. Titles like this probably hlped foster the marriage with Wildstorm and DC.

The excellent storyline 'Time and Time Again' that ran through the Superman books in the early 90s involved Superman being bounced through time.
Which present-day villain did he find trapped in the prehistoric era?

Not
Vandal Savage (who would have just been "living" in the prehistoric era, rather than "trapped" there)
or
Monarch (though that's not a bad guess since he and Captain Atom did get trapped there for a while sometime around then)

And Future has it! Chronos it was. My memory could be wrong but I think it was a Chronos from earlier in his career who had been trapped there after a clash with the Atom. He and Superman had to work out how to return to their own time while avoiding being dinosaur dinner. It was a fun little team-up. I'm surprised this question wasn't answered faster though since the Legion made 3 prominent guest-appearances during this storyline, including one BIG one (goodbye Moon ). Over to you Future.

I was racking my brain for villains who could get trapped in the past and he came to mind. Great power, not the best of luck.
I've actually only read two bits of the Time and Time again arc, for the Legion and Dev-Em. Would you recommend the whole thing, Blacula?
On which holiday did Scott Summers and Jean Grey become engaged?
