In the grand tradition of trying to get more Legion games on the Legion board, I present to you...Zero Hour! A "What If" game!

During End of an Era, various Legionnaires disappeared or were replaced in continuity. Let's flex some creative muscle and explore how Legion history could be different if one character replaced another or didn't exist!

For example, let's say the previous poster gave me: "What if...Catspaw replaced Saturn Girl." I could answer, "Without a telepath present, R.J. Brande is shot and critically injured before Garth and Cos intervene. Luckily, Catspaw's keen senses let her track down the attackers and they are brought to justice. The Legion is formed anyway! Just maybe with half the funding..." Then I'd give a premise for the next poster.

I'll start us off..what if Leland McCauley replaced RJ Brande?

When Leland McCauley is saved from an assassination attempt by Rokk Krinn, Imra Ardeen, and Garth Ranzz, he offers them positions as his personal bodyguard.

However, they quickly have a falling-out over what the three founders perceive as McCauley’s questionably ethical assignments.

Instead, McCauley recruits Mekt Ranzz, Eve Aries, and a Braalien of equally dubious moral character. He also recruits Tarik the Mute to train his personal Guard.

Over time, the Guard expands, adding new members, and undertaking assignments which are not merely ethically questionable, but downright criminal.

The Science Police are unable to stop the super-criminals, until SP cadet Imra Ardeen suggests cross-training a select group of officers from many planets—as training had previously been segregated. The new Super-Powered Science Police Squadron (SPSPS) shortly takes down the super-villains, and a new legend is born.

Next: What if Chester King / Hyper-Boy replaced Lar Gand in continuity?

Instead of letting Hyper-Boy live out his dying days in happiness, Superman projects him into the Phantom Zone until he can cure his Zoronite poisoning. Mon-el appreciates the company, but eventually grows bitter at Chester's acceptance of his fate. Their friendship wanes ovet the millenium. A thousand years later, Lar has become lost and Hyper-Boy is freed by the Legion instead.

He is so much like Superman, it attracts Luornu's attention. The two date and eventually marry. The Legion changes its code against married members, afraid to lose Hyper-Boy. During the Conspiracy, Chester does not join in. Rond Vidar is the only survivor against the Time Trapper, who reports the other heroes were killed.

The Legion disbands and Hyper-Boy lives out his days as the U.P.'s champion.

What if...Chemical King replaced Element Lad?

In the 30th century, the human diaspora had created races with unique powers adapted to the worlds they had seeded. Powers that could be exploited for the gain of the few. Braalians and many others became commodities when their own worlds were mined and ruined. With global economies threatened by the migration of super powered populations, a resistance had grown.

That’s the backstory revealed in the issue where…

Roxxas and his Purity Pirates ruthlessly slaughter colonies they see as future centres of exploitation. On Phlon, they devastate the small, but powerful mutant inhabitants. Only Condo Arlik, with his father as part of an off world trade delegation, survive.

When his father is also assassinated, Condo is forced to flee. He joins the one place where super powered individuals seem safest. He joins the Legion as Element Lad. But Roxxas knows that one has survived…

In a desperate battle, Roxxas’ fleet is lost to engine detonation as they flee from the Legion. Condo is found not to be directly responsible for the action, but it is a shadow that hangs over him. Ironically a burned and scarred Roxxas is the last of his group.

Having had a very rich life on Phlon, the loss of his world, family and friends has a huge impact on Condo. Unused to dealing with a harsher universe, he’s often withdrawn. This seems to build up within him resulting in occasional outbursts as he tries to find his way in the group.

His powers have so many applications he is used in a number of capacities. However, he sometimes lacked restraint and was worried of using them to kill. He worked very closely with Lyle Norg to develop both his powers and overcome his trauma. Having hidden his identity from Roxxas, Condo was also used as a cypher to infiltrate the Legion of Super Villains with Timberwolf.

Writers often seemed reluctant to use Condo due to his potentially vast power.

In the early ‘70s Condo becomes something of a social conscious for the group in more “relevant” stories. In an anti-war issue he sacrificed his life to prevent the outbreak of a galactic conflict, instigated by Deregon.

Element Lad was an inspiration to others who looked at the darker side of the 30th century and wanted to stand against it. One was Officer Erin, who became the Legion’s liaison officer to be closer to the person who made her want to be in law enforcement.

Next: What if Saturn Girl and Projectra never joined until 1970 when they were inducted as male counterparts Saturn Lad and Projectur (basically as per Action 392)

Brainiac 5 is elected when Saturn Girl should have been, and handles several mission calls unfavorably. This leads to Lightning Lad never being resurrected, Element Lad being rejected for not revealing his powers, Ayla never joining, and Shy Violet feeling so overlooked she leaves the team.

Dream Girl joins the Legion under false pretenses because she has a vision...Brainy's machine Computo will go awry. Her sabotage defeats Computo. Brainy resigns in shame. Next election, Dreamy and Invisible Kid are elected. Together they bring a more progressive era for the team, balancing gender lines. Xera, Quantum Queen, and Shadow Lass are some of the recruits. Mon-el defeats the Sun-Eater. He survives the explosion, but his power levels become so skewed and endanger others that he flees the galaxy.

Jeckie and Imra are part of the legacy of Nura's two term leadership: the first lasses to graduate Legion Academy. However, without the involvement of Brainy, Jan, and many others... The Earth War takes a different turn. Projectra and Saturn Girl are the last two standing to face Mordru. They succeed in confusing him into defeat, but it's too late...the Dark Circle takes Earth and the Khund empire conquers half the U.P.

What if...Polar Boy never existed?

Unfortunately, Lydda Jath, Staq Mavlen, Ral Benem and Dag Wentim are left alone on the streets of Metropolis, ashamed and utterly without recourse.
Luckily, Starfinger knows talent when he sees it, and approaches them to act as an underground Black Ops group, where they find villains and put them down. For years, these 4 clear the path for Starfinger to extend his criminal empire.
Finally, Chameleon Boy, Ultra Boy, Phantom Girl, Shrinking Violet and Timber Wolf uncover the truth and put these 4 away. While they believe their innocence (verified by Saturn Girl), they still serve time on Takron Galtos.
Upon release, Chameleon Boy recruits these 4 choose to band together with other hard-luck heroes -- Antannae Lad, Color Kid, Spider Girl, Rainbow Girl, Porcupine Pete, Energax, and Infectious Lass - to form the new Secret Legion. They operate as a much larger branch of the Espionage Squad.

The Tornado Twins join the Legion on Flash Day, bringing the roster total to 28. This causes the Legion to come under taxation scrutiny for exceeding 25 members. Dawn opts to leave due to power redundancy, but insists Don stay. Duo Damsel and Bouncing Boy depart as well, after Chuck gets the idea to propose to Luornu from Dawn's encouragement.

Thanks to Don's membership, he gets the mind control device of Validus destroyed and Invisible Kid is saved. Shrinking Violet and Don hit it off, which Duplicate Boy notices and they break up. Vi and Don begin to date. Dawn rejoins after Tenzil leaves. Dawn goes out with Sun Boy, but doesn't enjoy herself. She frequently flirts with Invisible Kid, which angers Chemical King. After Chem's death, Lyle rejects her outright.

Computo takes over Legion Headquarters. Supergirl incapacitates Danielle Foccart, but leaves Brainy due to his screw ups costing more lives: Light Lass was killed. The Tornado Twins and Super Cousins stay members until the Great Darkness, where they are turned into Servants of Darkseid. All four resign. Dev-em joins to pick up the slack.

Dirk and Dawn reconcile and start a relationship. Don leaves Vi, not understanding why she has changed so much since the Reflecto plotline. The twins meet their end in the Crisis, sacrificing their lives over their father's. Barry returns to the 20th century with Iris, rewriting history and establishing the "Tornadoverse."

What if...Jo died in the TMK lost years, rather than Tinya?

With the loss of Jo, Tinya realizes that so much of her life was wrapped around being a couple. Tinya chooses to be an activist-educator on Rimbor working with the uneducated gangsters and smugglers, where she finds her ex-colleague Timber Wolf losing his control over his body. She takes him in, adopting him as her protective Furball.

When Cham and Rokk choose to reorganize the Legion, they go to Rimbor and approach Tinya for her political family connections and her high profile charitable role. Furball and the young Sklarian student Kono accompany her. Tinya immediately pushes for more of the old school recruits - immediately heading for Winath to gather up Ayla, Vi, Mekt, Garth and Imra. Only Ayla, Vi, Imra and Garth choose to join. Mekt- whose heart has left adventuring - stays behind to raise the kids.

Imra starts having strange dreams about Mon-El, leading the team to the confrontation with the Time Trapper. This time, with this pack of Legionnaires at his side, Mon-El nearly defeats the Trapper, threatening to destroy the timeline. At the last instant, Garth jumps in and sacrifices his life to break the connection.
The team returns home, shaken to their core at losing Garth. Several past Legionnaires come to attend the funeral, including Jeckie, Nura, Thom, Gim, Yera, Chuck, Luornu, Lydda, Rond, Laurel, Nightwind, Chlorophyll Kid, Brainy and Jan. Tinya attempts to comfort Imra, who says she's mourning Garth "for the second time". Everyone assumes this is a referral to the time that Garth was killed by space pirates.
While at the funeral, a deranged Roxxas shows up with the remains of Blok, and the Legionnaires realize they have a second comrade to grieve. Roxxas attempts to add to his hitlist but is stopped by Nightwind, Cholorphyll Kid, Mekt, Kono and Furball.

The new Legion is formed! And the Dominators, Dark Circle and Fatal Five are waiting in the wings!

What if... Nemesis Kid had killed Projectra instead of Karate Kid in the LSV invasion of Orando?

While Val debates taking the flight ring and sacrificing himself, Nemesis Kid takes out Princess Projectra with a snap of the neck. When Ultra Boy attacks Nemesis Kid and distracts him, Karate Kid takes advantage of the fact Hart can't take on two foes at once and kills him also with a blow to the neck.

Val has no qualms about what he did. He sends the Legion on their way home, taking Orando and the villains with him as king. He sets the LSV members to die, but Esper Lass and Micro Lad escape.

Esper Lass telepathically dupes Val and many people of Orando, taking his place over time as ruler of Orando. Karate Kid is imprisoned and then executed, with Esper Lass using technology left behind by the LSV to return Orando to real space and incite a war with her followers against modern society. Micro Lad leaves on a personal vendetta against Shrinking Violet. Vi, having enough of his actions, kills him in battle which Tellus uncovers and rats her out. Vi quits before she can be expelled.

Esper Lass fights against the Legion, who do poorly without Sensor Girl or Saturn Girl's prowress. Tellus and Mentalla are untrained and no match as the Legion's newest members, but Mentalla devises a plan to separate Esper Lass from her army by both destroying the machine and drawing her toward Titan where their military can assist. Esper Lass is defeated, and this begins a series of successful missions for Mentalla. She is eventually elected Legion leader during the Magic Wars, but resigns from the Legion after four months due to political pressure and anxiety.

The death of Kinetix devastates Leviathan, who thought he would have a future with her; and Violet, who, despite having feelings for Leviathan, genuinely cared for Kinetix.

Zoe's death drives Violet to reveal her possession by the Emerald Eye and attempt to resurrect Zoe. Leviathan willingly joins Violet. Gim's obsession drives him to betray Violet and take the Emerald Eye for himself.

When Mordru shows up, it becomes all-out war between Emerald Emperor Gim Allon and Mordru. The war becomes a protracted affair, ending in Gim's death. Violet is forced to sacrifice herself to the Eye to defeat Mordru once and for all.

What if...

Lume and Star Boy join the Legion. Lume is chastised for not venturing out into the brightness of Earth, shirking monitor duty, and not respecting privacy. During the battle with Regulus, Earth's northern hemisphere goes dark ... Lume's heart's desire from Emerald Violet.

Lume is stranded in the 20th century with the others and enjoys pestering new friend Ferro. When Ferro sneaks off to sacrifice himself to stop the Sun Eater, Lume tags along. Lume completes Ferro's sacrifice by acting as the 'match' with the bomb and amping its energy spread.

Years later, a small shiny spaceship arrives at Legion World. Within is the traveler Quislet and Lume, who over a Millenia regained consciousness in a shunted dark dimension and became the founding flame of a whole race of sentient energy beings. Lume hasn't come to rejoin so much as brag, while Quislet joins and is instrumental in repulsing Robotica.

What if ... Duo Damsel had fought back for Superboy's heart after the Adventure Mordru storyline?

Duo Damsel out-manipulates Lana Lang to finally win Superboy's affections, only to cheat on him immediately. Superboy, heartbroken, resigns from the Legion, leading to (fill-in the villains of your choice) conquering the galaxy.

What if...Shadow Lass had stopped mourning Mon-El after a reasonable amount of time, and gotten on with her life?

Tasmia would have returned to the Legion in its - heh - darkest hour: Black Dawn. Her presence allowed her to use her shadow powers to save Timber Wolf from being injured, and she was able to combine her powers with Wildfire's to keep his energy form together while restarting the sun, ensuring that Wildfire did not need to sacrifice himself to succeed. After administering a brutal beat down to Starfinger, Tasmia rallies the Legion. The team is still driven off Earth but does NOT disband.

Gathering on Talus, the team remains strong. They administer swift justice to Roxxas after he kills Blok and act decisively to foil the Dominator invasion of Earth.

Despite their heroism in closing the rift, the U.P. public still blames Brande and by extension the Legion for its collapse and the Blight invasion. They are disbanded and their efforts to rally off-world are repeatedly shot down, with a few members like Cosmic Boy and Ultra Boy incarcerated for vigilante-ism.

Years later, Brande purchases a pocket of U.P. space and establishes Legion World. He sets out to reform the Legion to protect the U.P. borders from outside of it, as well as assist with any planet willing to authorize a pact to work together solo. After several smaller adventures, more worlds come back on board and five exact years later the Legion is re-dedicated as the driving image of the United Planets. Much of the old guard has returned, as well as new members like Spider-Girl, Babbage, Polar Boy, and Insect Queen.

I had all four join in my fanfic, along with several others!

Without Lyle Norg, nobody figures out that Validus is being controlled by Tharok's brain. Legion HQ is decimated during Validus' attack.

And without Lyle, Condo Arlik does not join. World War VII is not averted, decimating Earth.

Andromeda was already presumed dead after the White Triangle War, so sadly not much initially changed in the timeline. The Fatal Five were still defeated and after being blasted by the Emerald Eye, M'Onel awoke in space and found his way home.

The strange spatial anomaly that Andromeda had initially discovered was instead found by a courier frighter, and word first get back to Leland McCauley. McCauley begins to siphon its energy at the cost of many crew, which eventually comes to the attention of the Legion. M'onel, Triad, Gates, Apparition, and Star Boy are sent to investigate and are absorbed into the portal.

They emerge changed... M'onel as a 1,000 year old man still refined by his muscle and strength, Triad as a single body with three voices in her head vying for dominance, Gates as a zealot for this higher power with increased teleportational range, Apparition as a ghost and Phase again, and Star Boy as a sentient being made of black matter and gravitic forces.

Brande resolves to use modified stargate technology to close the energy source, which McCauley of course tries to fight. In the end, he is trapped in a cruiser in the portal when it closes. Phase and Star Boy rejoin the Legion, while the others depart or no longer qualify for membership.

Lightning Lad continues his illustrious career in the Legion, distancing himself from Saturn Girl and getting closer to Shrinking Violet. Saturn Girl leaves in a fit of apparent jealousy (also saving her from capture in the SW6 Legion). Saturn Girl has chosen to go undercover to find additional support in discovering the truth about Garth.
Lightning Lad and Shrinking Violet become a strangely secretive Legion "hot" couple - well known, but rarely hanging out with the other couples (much to Jo and Tinya's chagrin).
Without Saturn Girl in the Legion, no one realizes that Jungle King is a bit loony and he joins the Legion. Jungle King helps hunt down a group of Khundish pranksters, including sonic powered Myke-4, who repents from his ways and joins the Legion Academy as Echo Lad.
When Satan Girl strikes the Legion, Lightning Lad is strangely torn until Satan Girl reveals Lightning Lad to be Ayla Ranzz! In the ensuing battle, Jungle King calls forth the Legion of Super Pets, who end up being successful at the cost of Jungle King's life (he sacrifices himself for Beppo). Ayla stays in the Legion as Lightning Lass, and she and Shrinking Violet are openly involved (much to the delight of Jo and Tinya).
When the Subs are revealed, Stone Boy is accepted for membership and joins. Without Saturn Girl to counsel him, Cosmic Boy leaves the Legion to join the Subs and be with Night Girl full-time.
Saturn Girl returns with a young scientist from Naltor, Dream Girl. The two combine their talents to resurrect Garth. As the Legionnaires fight over who will sacrifice themselves, Stone Boy and Ayla realize that they can bring down the lightning together, splitting their life forces to bring Garth back. They are successful, but Ayla and Stone Boy are aged 30 years each and leave the Legion due to age.
Saturn Girl and Garth choose to get married early, thus giving up their Legion membership.
In the recruitment drive, the Legion's sacrifices inspire several new members: Dev-Em, Rainbow Girl, Gates, Dream Girl and Gas Girl. Cosmic Boy returns to the team with his girlfriend Night Girl.

LONG LIVE THE LEGION!
(In this timeline, by the time 5 Years Later rolls around, Ayla and Vi are the most stable relationship in Legion history, and everyone finds Imra and Garth a bit creepy)

Phantom Girl, angry at the Legion for perceived unfairness, resigns and follows Ultra Boy. The two join the Subs and mold them into an effective fighting force.

Besides Tinya, other Legionnaires like Mon-El and Shadow Lass are also dissatisfied with the way the case was handled. Dissension brews in the ranks.

Pulsar Stargrave is free to meddle behind the scenes. He takes control of COMPUTO (in Danielle Foccart's mind) and ensures the deaths of the Legion's great scientific minds and powerhouses (Brainiac 5, Dream Girl, Sun Boy, Element Lad, Mon-El, Saturn Girl and Chameleon Boy) when he attacks Legion HQ. He proceeds to wage all-out war on the Legion with his technological abilities, and only the intervention of the Subs, Heroes of Lallor, Wanderers, Dev-Em, Legion Reservists and Academy Students allows the Legion to barely win and destroy Pulsar Stargrave and excise Computo from Danielle's mind, but at a major cost. Several more heroes die in the ensuing battle - Cosmic Boy, Matter-Eater Lad, Shadow Lass, Dawnstar, Star Boy, Timber Wolf, Stone Boy, Chlorophyll Kid, Porcupine Pete, Celebrand, Dartalg, Crystal Kid, Shadow Kid, Comet Queen, Tellus, Dev-Em, Duplicate Boy, and even Ultra Boy. Jacques Foccart dies as well, having become the Invisible Kid for just this one battle.

The shattered Legion reforms under Lightning Lad's leadership, with Shrinking Violet stepping up as Deputy Leader. Phantom Girl, Duo Damsel, Bouncing Boy, Colossal Boy, Chameleon Girl (Yera), Wildfire, Blok, White Witch, Polar Boy, Fire Lad, Night Girl, Infectious Lass, Color Kid, Life Lass, Gas Girl, Evolvo Lad, Magnetic Kid, Nightwind, Lamprey, Power Boy and Laurel Kent form the new team. Superboy, Supergirl, Karate Kid and Queen Projectra promise to stay on as Reservists.

WHAT IF...

The cast of Legion Lost had instead been:

Cosmic Boy, Apparition, Triad, Violet, Kinetix, Chuck Taine, Ferro, Karate Kid, M'Onel, Gates, Spark, Invisible Kid, Condo Arlik and Element Lad?

Thanks to one of our Spider Guild visitors, I just noticed that Legion World had another What If? thread called Turning Points. So, more fun to be read there too. It's from way back towards the start of LW too, so there are some legendary figures on the posting duties... and Lash smile

I'll take a stab...

First, the set-up. From Widening Rifts storyline.

Condo Arlik is on board the Legion Outpost as a reporter covering McCauley's new Workforce. He and Invisible Kid are shocked to see each other, especially as they have a secret relationship.

As the rift collapses, M'Onel makes a judgment call. He saves Brainiac 5 first, as Brainy knows how to repair the rift. Then he grabs Kid Quantum II, as her powers are needed. Unfortunately, Wildfire has already been sucked in; Element Lad is next! Ensuring Brainiac 5 and Kid Quantum II are safe and can continue their work, M'Onel vows to save as many Legionnaires as he can. Using his vision powers and speed, he targets those in the greatest amount of danger: those trapped on various sections of the Outpost. Umbra and Ultra Boy (trapped by an explosion), Monstress (buried under debris), Saturn Girl and Live Wire (refusing to abandon the command center), Chameleon (trapped in command center). Several others have already escaped, or are near the pods.

As the Outpost is getting sucked into the rift, here is what happens:

1) Apparition refuses to leave the Outpost, thinking Ultra Boy is still trapped. She turns intangible and M'Onel can't rescue her.

2) Spark, about to get into an escape pod, realizes Live Wire isn't clear. She tries to go after him. Kinetix and Cosmic Boy attempt to restrain her.

3) Gates attempts to teleport Chuck Taine off the Outpost. Having already strained his teleportation powers, Gates passes out. Chuck tries to revive him; Triad runs up to help him.

4) Invisible Kid and Condo Arlik both stay behind to find each other. They meet and embrace, but a section of the Outpost collapses, trapping them.

5) Violet, Ferro and Karate Kid are in an escape pod; rubble blocks their takeoff.

All are trapped as the Outpost collapses. Element Lad manages to anchor himself to the Outpost, and saves the Legion as in the original Legion Lost. He is still lost upon re-entry.

Much of Legion Lost proceeds as it does: these Legionnaires (excepet Element Lad) are found by Shikari, and are freed. Wildfire is still encountered and joins the cast. Invisible Kid takes over as scientific mind. Without any telepath, there is no "fake" Ultra Boy to keep Apparition calm; she instead relies on her friends' support. She reveals she's pregnant. The Legionnaires spend more time with the Kwai, using their powers to fortify the Kwai mothershp - Kinetix, M'Onel, Cosmic Boy are particularly effective at this.

They never free Singularity from his psionic illusion. The Progenitor - formerly Element Lad - captures them.

Jan plays god, changing Ferro's face; and empowering Chuck Taine with bouncing powers and Condo Arlik with transmutation powers in his own image. The shocked Legionnaires try to stop him. Element Lad spitefully unleashes the Omniphagos to eat them; it instead turns on him. As the Legionnaires escape,Spark jumps ship at the last minute to stop the merged Element Lad/Omniphagos creature; M'Onel rescues her just before it consumers her. The Legionnaires decide she acted in self-defense and exonerate her from killing the Omniphagos. Apparition gives birth on the ship as it transits through warp space.

Back home, events also played out differently. Ra's al Ghul still killed and replaced UP President Leland McCauley. However:

1) Brainiac 5, Kid Quantum II, Live Wire, Saturn Girl, Sensor and Chameleon made a more concerted effort to keep the Legion together. Brainiac 5, Kid Quantum II, Live Wire, Sensor and new Legionnaire Gear build Legion World. Chameleon and Saturn Girl take Triad's place at Brande Industries, dispersing it while funneling resources to the team. Together with Brande, they form the core of the remaining Legion. Live Wire manages to keep best friend Dyrk Magz on board; Brainiac 5 restores Dyrk's magnetism to boost their ranks, and he rejoins as Magno, helping out on Legion World. They also begin gathering Cadets for training as full Legionnaires; before the Lost Legionnaires return, Brek Bannin (Blizzard), Berta Skye Harris (Nightwind) and Drura Schept (Microbe) become full members.

2) XS and Monstress joined Star Boy, Dreamer and the Amazers on Xanthu. They evacuate Xanthu as it falls to Robotica; XS, Monstress, Star Boy and fellow Amazer Particon remain trapped.

3) Ultra Boy returns to Rimbor temporarily. Angered at how old gang the Emerald Dragons have turned to crime, he challenges them. Wolfpack gang leader Timber Wolf saves him, and they begin a small war to reform their neighborhood on Rimbor.

4) Umbra returns home to Talok VIII, and successfully argues against their attempt to protect themselves by hiding from the galaxy by citing the Legion's sacrifice. She retakes her role as Planetary Champion.

When the Lost Legionnaires return, they are betrayed by Ra's and rescued by their former teammates. Chuck Taine (Rebound), Condo Arlik (Chemical Kid) and Shikari are inducted. They quickly gather the remaining Legionnaires: Apparition immediately finds Ultra Boy, and they kiss; Timber Wolf decides to come along. Having kept in touch, Kid Quantum II hears from Dreamer that Monstress, Star Boy and XS were left behind on Xanthu. The Legionnaires storm Xanthu and destroy the remaining Robotican attackers, jumpstarting the rebuilding of the planet. Umbra is the last to return; the Legionnaires convince her that the threat on Earth is greater. Dreamer also joins, giving the team useful insight into Ra's plan. The reunified team stops Ra's al Ghul's terrorforming plan; with Dreamer's foresight, they stop the worst of it. The Legion reforms officially as the UP's protectors. Apparition and Ultra Boy name their son Legion; he manifests normal Bgztlian powers and invulnerability when he's tangible.
