IB has a strong showing, being that Storm Boy was a 5 Year Gap Legionnaire and a member of the (very expanded) Superboy PRime LSV, but I was looking for the Substitute as well, and that means Myg has it!

Their fitst code names did not contain Boy girl Lad Lass or Kid? (If you count 5YL retcon that had Lu start out with Triad)

And, by your logic, then Tellus, Quislet, Gates, XS, Blok and Dawnstar (at least) would have also qualified

Haven't thought about this much so haven't eliminated many possibilities, but...
They have all experienced bodily/form changes that have not been reversed?
Lu - lost one body
Salu - gained ability to grow
Drake - turned into anti-energy
Mysa - her albino form vs. her Naltorian form
Brin - Furball mutation which was never completely reversed
Jeckie - from snake to naga form
Although Monstress would also qualify...

Care to give any more clues, Andy? I've done some thinking on code names, powers, join order, costumes, real names, physical characteristics but can't seem to think of a link.

Lu - become Duo Damsel upon losing a body, became Duplicate Damsel upon gaining ability to create multiple selves
Vi - became Leviathan upon gaining power to grow
Timber Wolf - Furball, need I say more
Projectra - expanded powers, became Sensor Girl
Mysa - from Hag to White Witch
Wildfire - used to be ERG-1. Postboot, was also Atom'x and Blast-Off

Cool, thanks Andy, appreciate the clue. Though at first I thought this wouldn't be it as Ayla should have qualified, also Postboot Brainiac (who went by Brainia 5.1 for a while) and Mon-EL (who has gone by Valor in some realities). And Superboy/Superman

I couldn't think of the other two for a minute, but once I remembered Atom'X I recalled Radion.
When 5YL Dirk was on life support by the Dominators after being incinerated, who tried to pull the plug to let Dirk die but couldn't bring themselves to do it?
