See, there's this Burger joint, see, called NIFTY BURGERS. And it's, ummm... built on top of the opening of hell, which is called an... ummm... a Heckhole!
So anyhoo, the Heckhole attracts all kinds of weirdness and stuff to NIFTY BURGERS, and it's up to our plucky staff of fast-food employees to save the day every issue! FUN!

In the parallel world Eryk and I have often speculated exists, where More Fun Comics continued publication up to the present, I'm almost certain Lash's Nifty Burgers has been a long running back-up! I'm just uncertain if Gruertis Nyebif is the lead.

I'd be amazed if ol' Gruertis didn't make an appearance in Justice League 3000/3001. He's probably everywhere - like the Spectre, who did start out in More Fun.
