Yup, A toughie. Since we're down to just eight, here's my brief thoughts on each.
Catwoman - A jewel thief who would attempt the riskiest of robberies. Would become a break out character in later ages. Cavalier - A criminal with a Muskateer gimmick, who became easily beatable even in a joke JLA story. Clayface II (Hagen) (Silver Age) - A malleable horror, scarier than the original (with a worse origin) but replicated in other "monster" characters. Deadshot - A distinctive villain with roots in Waynes social class. But his break out came in Suicide Squad and hasn't been topped anywhere near a Bat-title. Joker (Silver Age) - The chaos against the order Batman looks to put into place. When written well, he's a good character, interchangeable with other Bat-Villains when done poorly, and grim without a reason when written very poorly. Man-Bat - A tormented duality along more traditional lines than Two-Face. Langstrom has been treated poorly in other books. Nocturna - An alabaster skinned femme fatale figure who I remember best in the lightning streaked crimson skies of the Crisis. Talia Al Ghul - Although tied to Bats through a romance/ lineage story she is also a capable criminal mastermind, with a global scale, in her own right.
Now some points:-
Catwoman (Golden Age) 50 Cavalier 5 Clayface II (Hagen) (Silver Age) 5 Deadshot 30 Joker (Silver Age) 50 Man-Bat 5 Nocturna 15 Talia Al Ghul 5

Here are the results:
Catwoman (Golden Age) 210 100% Talia Al Ghul 195 93% Deadshot 170 80% Nocturna 160 76% Cavalier 155 74% Man-Bat 150 71%
Eliminated this Round:
Joker (Silver Age) 135 64% Clayface II (Hagen) (Silver Age) 100 48%
We have six characters left. After the next round, we will have a Wild Card Round.
Slight Change to the scale this round to take in account of the diminishing number of characters.
6 <- Lowest you can give a character 12 18 24 30 36 42 48 54 60 <- Highest you can give a character

While I'm not the biggest Joker fan, I too thought he'd be at the end When Emily first mentioned that there would be a Wildcard round, I was struggling to think who I'd go for. Now there are a few contenders. Incidentally, I'd love to hear more about what the remaining characters mean to those taking part.

Catwoman (Golden Age) - She's old Hollywood to me. Glamourous dresses, well-dressed henchmen. A martini in one hand and a gun in the other. I enjoyed her appearances in Batman and, later on, when she would make appearances in All-Star Squadron or other such books.
Deadshot - Cool visuals, disturbed individual. Sure, he's a gun nut. Sure, he's not the most successful of Bat villains (at least when dealing with the Bat). Floyd Lawson is, for me, one of the only Bat villains that I would expect to find in my local bar, enjoying a beer with the rest of us. Watching his growth through Suicide Squad/Secret 6 has further cemented him in my cosmology of cool.
Cavalier - He's a peer of Kite Man, for me. I enjoy the corniness. Of course, he gets gay points from me.
Nocturna - meh. I never liked her or her Night Stalker partner
Man-Bat - I always thought of him as a hero. I love his visual, his potential. I never liked him as a villain.
Talia Al Ghul - She grew from a girlfriend to a formidable foe. I enjoy her constantly expanding role in DC - appearances in Superman and the JLA.

My Wildcard pick is Harley Quinn. My reason is because I have been a fan since I was a child watching the Batman cartoons.

My wildcard pick is Lady Shiva. She is an exceptional challenge for the whole Bat family (and mother to one of them).

Can I please get some clarification on how this Wild Card Pick works?
Is the character we pick automatically added back to the list (meaning we might get 6 or 7 or however many people vote re-added)?
Or will only the character with the most votes be re-added?
Or do we all nominate someone and then pick from that pool?
I'm confused. Sorry if this has already been explained.

Clayface III (Payne). Tragic, creepy, scary, somewhat sympathetic, but still a psychopath. Both Moore and Morrison did interesting things with him.

Thanks Dave! OK I'll vote for Black Spider. If it's OK, I'm going to change my vote to: The Cavalier. I feel like rewarding him for randomly making it this far.

Thank you for including a list of when each character was eliminated, Emily.
Having a hard time picking a Wild Card, as I find a lot of characters interesting, but none really that truly fascinate me the way Kinetix, Gates, Kole or Kimiyo Hoshi do. Hmm...
Narrowed it down to Poison Ivy, Riddler and Two-Face.
I'm going for: Poison Ivy (Silver Age)

Still thinking... My shortlist is...
Black Mask- Top 20 – I could remember the art on his stories. A lot of Morrison’s stuff reminded me of his stories. Masks and personal revenge and the False Face Society. Pent up rage across a life time finds a new face to express it. Masks are something of a recurring Bat-Theme.
Clayface I (Karlo) (Golden Age) - Top 50 – Captures a classic age of horror movies that I’ve enjoyed over the years.
Joker (Silver Age)- Top 20 – Hard to imagine there not being a Joker in the final rounds. The only trouble I have is picking an age I like for the Joker. I’ve only seen a little of the newest version and it doesn’t appeal. Moore’s Killing Joke or Miller’s aged psychopath show plenty of madness, but in a very unpleasant shock manner. Then there’s the one that beats Robin to near death. But going further back, he’s interchangeable with other Bat-Villains. Perhaps he’s best at that shock appearance of chaos before returning to the shadows. That doesn’t give him the lasting legacy of a Talia or Catwoman.
Nocturna- Top Six – While her introduction was a little forced, and the dialogue a little overwrought across the whole book, there was some great art, impressive cliff-hangers and we got to look at new sides of Bruce. Sides that showed him looking at Robin as a father, not just as a partner and his obsession with his role as the Dark Knight.
Outsider- Top 20 - “Is that today’s paper Alfred?” “Yes Master Bruce. And I’ve turned it to the obituaries! Ha hahahaha!”
Ra's Al-Ghul- Eliminated Round 5 – I usually think of a modern Fu Manchu when I see Ras. Vastly intelligent; huge network of operatives; a very capable daughter (combined with one of Rohmer’s love interest characters) and a visionary perspective that goes beyond territorial boundaries.
Scarecrow- Top 20 – He has an excellent origin. The good villains have triggers that turn them to their crimes. The best don’t see themselves as villains at all. His methods amplify the fear that grips Gotham allowing so many of the Batman books to work at their best.
Two-Face (Golden Age)- Top 20 Some harrowing truths about upholding the law in the face of wide corruption. Some pulp/ golden age nods; concepts of duality, order and chance and the thrill of wondering which side of the coin will be face up.
Wrath- Eliminated Round 4 With one appearance we saw how Batman’s life could have turned out. With the same personality, but none of the support.
