Anyhow, for right now, let's focus on trivia relating directly to Episodes I-VI. No cartoons, comics, Expanded Universe, Ewok movies, etc. And no questions related to The Force Awakens for awhile to avoid spoiling that movie for participants. We'll decide later when it can be included.
And if you're worried about having the two trilogies spoiled, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING ON THIS THREAD?!?!
First correct guess gets to ask the next one! (Clues may be provided at the askers discretion.)
So to get things rolling, I'll start with a pretty easy one:
What was the original solicited title to Episode VI before it got changed? (Their were even loads of posters, toys and other materials promoting it with that name!)
Yoda was originally called "Minch" in Leigh Brackett's original script for ESB. Brackett is responsible for some of his more famous lines, such as "Luminous beings are we..." and "There is no try..."
I had read that there was a homage to it once or twice. But I didn't think too much of it. Lots of films have nods to others. But the opening couple of scenes of Hidden Fortress, is a little jaw droppingly like the two droids. There are some other lift and drops from Kurosawa's films into Star Wars.
I read that an early plot for Star Wars also had a number of parallels with Hidden Fortress.
Over to EDE.
"...not having to believe in a thing to be interested in it and not having to explain a thing to appreciate the wonder of it."
Cool! They were talking about it on a local radio show the other day. Not sure how much of the dialogue cited was accurate, though.
While I like Star Wars I can't say I'm a very knowledgeable fan, so this will probably be an easy one...
In a deleted scene from A New Hope, which character reveals to Luke Skywalker a secret desire to join the Rebel Alliance despite having been trained at the Imperial Academy?
