Reading a comment (at ninthart.com) that efforts will be taken to make Scott Summers less boring...(so what's wrong with boring?)... who's the big yawn in the legion, the one you would most dread having drop in for an evening chat?

I'd go with Star Boy, but maybe that's just old biases carrying over. Sure, he's heroic, good-looking - but he doesn't seem to have much to say.

Kinetix would fit the bill as well - despite her full sentence in the recent issue - although maybe she's okay if you're stoned or something.

Ever since Gim dropped dead he's just a snoozefest at get togethers (he's no Bernie, I'll tell ya that - now there was a fun corpse).

lol Agree with you about Gim too Drake...

Star Boy would be one of my most favoured house guests of an evening exactly for the reasons you give Cramer... maybe thats just me shocked wink

Tinya gets my vote as least likely to know an after dinner joke if it bit her... dunno why but I never warmed to her... PhantomGirl

Well, since I love me some Star Boy. I would have to disagree about his being boring.

I will go out on a limb and say how boring I think Tinya and Jo and their eternal love is...

Boring and most unwanted evening guest might be two different things...

Star Boy's a good listener, though... remember when he offered to be Gates' audience once? And how over-the-moon happy Gates was?

Now preboot Star Boy would be the ultimate in yawnfests... it's all about him, him, him. And when it's not, he talks about baseball. --Snooze--

These days I'd say Sensor... you couldn't even look at her for two seconds without her snapping you across the room with that tail of hers.

Umbra would have been a trying guest, until her recent 'softening'.

But none of those are boring...

Karate Kid doesn't have much to say, these days... and sometimes he uses 'platitude-speak'. He'd probably get my vote.

Absolutely. Karate Kid. I forgot all about him. It's like he's from a different comic and one I don't read or something. V weak.

Gear seems like a big dull dud -- probably talks about computers and tech stuff all day. The most popular guy with the tech services department I'm sure, but I wouldn't have him over...

I don't know, Gear seems to bring out sides of people we've never seen. Look what he did for Chuck Taine and Superboy in LEGION #31...

Cosmic Boy! He'd want to discuss sports and his girlfriend. Bah! Can't we go shopping and get our hair done instead? He'd probably think I have all the intelligence of Sinde.

Kon, Gim and preboot Thom. And as much as I find the current Ayla boring, I definitely wouldn't mind having her over. wink

Well, Kinetix is now ("now" comprising five more issues) not much of an intelligent conversationalist.

Superboy or Supergirl -- any version -- would be close behind. Fish-out-of-cultural-water syndrome would get old quite fast. (It's intriguing that the poll results about a reboot crew show a notable resistance to any version of them being brought back.)

I really can't think of anybody else who'd qualify. Stone Boy, perhaps -- he'd be out of sync with the latest cultural-speak after every hybernation.

Ayla is NOT boring! Or wasn't, anyway. I'm thinking of the kick-ass bisexual Ayla of the LSV adventure and later ... but, o'course, I'm usually preferring to think about that version of the Legion, anyway

KARATE KID is the most boring Legionnaire ever, imo. If martial arts don't interest you, he's pretty much a complete wash as a character, especially now that he doesn't have a love interest or a quest.

KINETIX, both pre- and post-Terrorform. Once is was decided she wouldn't become the Emerald Empress, she had no purpose. Hypertaxis powers have potential, but other than healing M'onel a couple of years ago, we've yet to see a good demonstration of them.

I always found GIM ALLON pretty boring, too. Actually I found him gross and often ridiculous, but that's another story.

BLOK was a Ben Grimm wannabe. Once it was established he was no longer a threat, he held little interest for me. His girlfriend MYSA was a drag, too.

COSMIC BOY is currently hovering in the danger zone. Writers should stop portraying him as so iconic. He interests me more when his temper gets the better of him, or when he's doing something underhanded.

I have to disagree about Star Boy, especially post-boot. He's the quiet type, but has enormous potential. Ayla is boring only in contrast to her increasingly wierd brothers. Pre-crisis Superboy could be tedious at times, but I'm warming up to Kon. I never found Kara boring.

Chameleon Boy bored me to tears.
Colossal Boy, too.

I was a big Superboy fan back in the day, but poor Kal-El never was very interesting as a legionnaire.

Pre-Boot I think Dawnstar was the one I'd least like to drop by. I think there would have been an abundance of uncomfortable pauses in conversation.

Post-Boot I think that I would hate to spend too much time with Kid Quantum. She just works my nerves.

Chemical King. Didn't really seem to be a whole lot to the guy.

Chemical King, Princess Projectra pre-Sensor Girl and especially Magnetic Kid for the pre-boot.

For the post-boot, Gear and Superboy take the cake for me.

Pre-boot, I would vote Chemical King, Collosal Boy, Star boy and Dawnstar as the legionaires I would least like to spend spring break with.

Post-boot, Apparition, Kinetix and Magno are so dull they should add narcolepsy-inducement to their list of powers.

But the most boring legionnaire of all is undisputed Rokk "yawn" Krinn.

For me, Colossal Boy was by far always the least interesting of the legionnaires. In fact, I may have fallen asleep just now, while typing his name.

I also like Danny's comment that Jo and Tinya's love is boring. I would much rather read about other legion loves than read about this neverending yawnfest.

And, although Cos is my fave legionnaire, I agree with Tromium Crystal that he needs to stop being written as so iconic, b/c that is extremely boring. Some may not have liked the way DnA had Cos always riding Superboy, but at least it wasn't boring.

Why are you laughing at me? It's unkind, as well as puzzling!
