Wow! I'm sure glad Cos's quick thinking saved the forest! I'm sure all the li'l furry creatures won't mind the slightly damper habitat!

While not shown on panel, Cosmic Boy then removed the meteors and put them back into space, so that both the little forest creatures and the meteor eating creatures OF SPACE would all be happy in their respective environments. I cannot believe you would think otherwise.
Cosmic boy was also very careful to avoid the fish with his meteors. He's just that kinda guy.

Which explains why we have never seen a frog in the Legionverse. Perhaps the legionnaires felt some pang of guilt when Tellus joined, since he would have encouraged more respect for water-environment creatures - and he looked a bit frog-like himself.
If there had been more diversity earlier in the Legion, they could have avoided these tragic lapses in judgement.
