COMIC BOOKS

_ _ _ S _ _ R
S _ C _ _ _ _
_ F
_ _ _ L

Score:
Caliente, C, 1
Blacula, R, 1
Ibby, F, 1
Kappa Kid, S, 2
Paladin, L, 1

So, Kappa can guess a vowel, any of you five can solve, anyone can guess a consonant.

Though I'd be shocked if someone doesn't solve...

Oh crap! I missed it!

Er... so as not to disadvantage anyone, I'll wait until the next round to reveal any T's, but also give you an additional letter/chance to solve this round.

OK. I will be leaving shortly and won't be back until tomorrow.

Kappa Kid - S: 2
EDE - T: 3
Paladin - L: 1

So, from what I understand EDE can guess a vowel, all three of you can try to solve.

N for Nelly.

P.S. Do contestants on the American version of WoF use a similar or same letter guessing scheme as I have been doing (i.e. N for Nelly, S for Sam, R for Roger, etc.)? On the Australian version, they almost always (or used to at least) use the same random words to go with each letter (I mean, "Nelly"?!). Those letter associative words are now much more ingrained in my mind than the correct system (i.e. N for November, S for Sierra, etc.).

I rarely watch the show here, but I don't think they do that here often anymore. I know they used to say, "N as in 'Nancy'" a lot, for example, in the old days...presumably to avoid any confusion with M and such. I don't think they ever did it with every letter, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I don't believe it's regularly used at all, except when clarification is specifically needed/asked for, and I don't think there's any standard word associations.

Quis, are you sure you've got all of the guessed letters filled in? I don't see how that second-to-last-letter could be anything other than "the" or "she".

oops! You are right. Still the extra T didn't change the most correct guessed letters

The rule originally was:

Did we change it?

Hm. Okay, I think we can stick to that going forward. Consonant guesses in subsequent rounds determine vowel guesses. So the guy who guessed the vowel in the previous round must guess a consonant the next, assuming no solve.
