What do you like to do to cool down from the summer heat?

Go to work where it is air conditioned.

SAPBM,

You wake up to your house in on fire. You can grab one thing as you escape. Assuming all other living beings can get out on their own, what one thing do you take?

A box of special dietary cat food for Eva. Can't have her worried while we get things sorted. Handily, the box also doubles as a back up drive with my files. smile

You have information that the leader of a cause you are devoted to has been involved in certain activities that they have spoken out against frequently before. Do you point out the hypocrisy at the risk of the movement floundering or yourself being cast from it?

I would, at least privately at first. I don't want to be part of a cause that may be lying to me.

SAPBM,

What did you like best about high school?

It ended.

Sklarians are particularly brazen meddlers:

Your local library is selling off all its hard-copy books and going digital. Do you try and buy as many of them as possible, or just go with the change?

One without persecution, discrimination, slavery, pointless warfare, bigotry and it has to have a comfy level of available technology and opportunity for all. You find it, I'll live there.

Re infra. Depends on the cost vs the benefits and how much damage it will cause. Most likely no though

The Baxter era Legionverse. It would offer amazing wonders and comforting familiarity at the same time.

Cremated, more cost effective.

Ah, hindsight, hindsight....

This is a small one, but a big unknown - the other opportunities I think might not have turned out so well after all, but this I'll never know:

I was in a grocery store in downtown Montreal, 22, single, unattached and having a horrible day. Must have had the look of thunder on my face because a young man looked at me and said, Come on, smile! - and I glared at him and walked out.

So I could have smiled and changed my mood, and learned that I could change my mood - and maybe have met a friend, or who knows where the relationship might have gone. That refusal to snap out of my self-indulgent anger was something that I've often thought about over the years. I've thought about that guy and wondered about him, too.

SAPBM,

What would you be doing today, for one day, if you had free choice/no responsibilities?

Fascinating answer FC. It has made me think of my own missed opportunities. Thanks for sharing. And thanks to Stalgie for asking.

Just one day? Oh man.

I have always wanted to get into the travel writing business. I know it does not really make you rich - you can make it into a steady source of income and earn enough to live decently, but it takes tons of work and you probably won't be able to buy a car or a house or have tons of savings. But who knows, I might be the one to make it big in the business. Who knows, right?

So I would buy a plane ticket somewhere and start a blog and have at it.

Well I participate in something during the day. Let's call it a job, but its just a way of connecting with the world. Structure. Then, I make a really nice cup of tea, go online to see what my super Legion World pals are up to while giving the cat a back rub.

Hey! I'm living the fantasy! smile Well actually, you try getting a kitty to want back rubs within arms reach of a good cup of tea...

In other news, I've had a "Smile. It might never happen." My response of "But I have ended up meeting you." made me feel much better as I went on my way.

SAPBM,

In the future, butts are self cleaning - how many port-a-loos have you seen in Legion?

SAPBM

It's an infinite multiverse. What one thing would you take form any of those worlds, to transform ours.

I would have to say Italian. As my well known hatred of tomato and tomato based foods can attest to. Also, I am not that fond of cheese.

SAPBM,

Would you do drag? Regardless of that answer, what would be your drag name?
