Well it wouldn't be the first time someone correctly guessed one of my puzzles without having any letters... wink

... but I'm afraid it's not the right answer this time.

In fact, no one guessed a correct letter!

So the board still looks like this:

COMICS

__ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __
__ __ __ __ __ __

Incorrect letters: T L V M

Anyone can guess a consonant... or solve(?). I can't remember how early game solve guesses work. Was it just in the first round? Or just before any letters have been correctly guessed? Or something else?

In the first round, before any letters have been revealed, you may guess if you think you might know it. After letters have been revealed, you must earn the opportunity to guess by correctly guessing a letter. Since no letters have been revealed, I guess a solve is still allowable.

Me? I took my stab, so I'll guess a letter this time...

S __ __ __ __ __ __ N __
S __ P P H __

Paladin: S (2)
IB: N (1)
EDE: H (1)
KK: B (0)
Quis: P (2)

Incorrect letters: T L V M B

As I recall, a tie for guessing the letter that appears the most number of times means no one gets to pick a vowel? (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

So:

Paladin, IB, EDE and Quis may guess a consonant or solve.
KK and anyone else can guess a consonant.

I have a strong feeling this will be solved quickly now though.

I understand correctly. Nobody can guess a vowel because we tied for number of consonants.

Great Rao! You're correct IB.

My theory is that Edie automatically knows what each puzzle is when it's given--and possibly before! He merely toys with the rest of us and solves when he feels like it! nod

I almost took a preemptive guess again, but the band I'm thinking of apparently doesn't have a "THE" in front of its name... hmmm

I was totally going to go with "One Direction", but it's a letter short! wink

Oh, you know I just looooooooove One Direction...! But I prefer older men. It's Blaze who likes men barely out of their teens wink

What that says about him liking me, or me liking him, I don't know...

Quis (S) - 3
Lardy (T) - 0
Blacula (K) - 0
EDE (H) - 0

Sorry guys, no word "The" in this name.

Quis may guess a vowel, solve, or guess a consonant.
anyone else may guess a consonant.
