Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale? That's correct! And you win a fabulous pair of ruby slippers! Unfortunately they are currently in possession of the Wicked Witch of the East...

Darn that wicked witch. Well, I'm off to gather a ragtag band of companions who have very little in common to ask that witch nicely to give me those slippers.

Sorry quiz, your guess does fit the blanks but it is not the capital-country pair I chose.
CAPITALS AND COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ N _
Blacula (M) - 0 EDE (N) - 1
Incorrect letters: M
Incorrect guesses:
Naypyidaw, Myanmar
EDE may solve, guess a vowel, or guess a consonant. Blacula, Quis, and anyone else may guess a consonant.

I'll attempt to solve:
REYKJAVIK ICELAND

EDE must have checked out my Facebook because that is correct! Iceland is one of my fave countries and I would love to return.
Quis' guess was good too as I have also been to Myanmar. Just not to Naypyidaw.

I knew you'd been to Iceland, so when I realized it fit, it had to be it!
(I'll admit that I thought Rangoon was the capital of Myanmar, though!)

Rangoon/Yangon used to be the capital, and is a much more economically important city. Most visitors would fly into there.
It also has the massive Shwedagon Pagoda
Naypyidaw on the other hand is a relatively new city constructed specially to be the capital. I have no plans to visit.

I choose to guess "L" for Edie's upcoming puzzle that he has undoubtedly not forgotten to create for us.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ L _
Incorrect guesses: S
Paladin, L, 1 Ibby, s, 0
So, Paladin can choose a vowel, a consonant, or to solve. Ibby or anyone else can choose a consonant.

Incorrect guesses: S
Ibby, M, 2 Blacula, T, 2 Paladin, A, 1
Some good letter guessing! A tie means no one can choose a vowel.
Ibby, Blacula, or Paladin can choose a consonant or solve. Anyone else can choose a consonant.
