I think I could have gotten it after the first round, except I got hung up on the idea that N _ M _ _ was going to be NOMAD, and even though I thought of NAMED as a possibility, I didn't really spend nearly as much time thinking about possible phrases with it in it!

T for Tunisia

Nice one EDE. I was sure N _ M _ D was either Nomad or Named, but had no idea what the others were.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I know the first half of the puzzle (and have a strong idea about the rest). However, if I'm correct, the fourth and sixth words are transposed, which would affect the "before and after" nature of the puzzle.

Of course, I could be completely wrong. But if I'm right, I'll attempt to solve:

A
SONG
OF
FIRE
AND
ICE
ICE
BABY?

For the record, if I'm right, it's actually "A Song of Ice and Fire".

Apologies on my getting the title wrong.

A song of fire and ice rolls off the tongue better that a song of ice and fire. IMHO.

It,like this past summer I went to Bash Bish Falls, but I think Bish Bash Falls sounds better.

That's CORRECT!!! I suspect the puzzle would have gone deeper if not for Edie's "H" guess (the most-appearing consonant in the puzzle) combined with the other correct guesses basically giving away "CHORUS".

However...

Bah! Is it my fault that George R. R. Martin failed to see the obvious advantages of titling his work in such a way that it could be combined with a cheesy white rap song in order to produce an awesome Wheel of Fortune clue! laugh
