It is. I thought the fairly common words offset the obscurity of the film. I was watching a horror film and it airlifted in additional characters in the final third of the movie. It reminded me of They Came From Beyond Space. The main character in TCFBS nips off to visit his friend in the last quarter of the film. A friend who appears out of nowhere, happens to live nearby and happens to have the technological solution to the film. TCFBS has a lot of British sci-fi tropes, such as mind controlling invaders which helps to keep the budget to a minimum.
Over to you Ibby!

thanks thothy! it sounds like a gem of a film. and you’re right, the words are quite common and I was able to guess despite never hearing of this particular film before (though I feel like I might have, as it’s not an especially unusual phrase)

It's one of those cities that appear in poetry, Poe's Tamerlane for example. Like you, I know it most for its ancient silk road status. It has this lovely, hazy, almost mythical feel to it in our literature. It also seems to be one of those cities that's attractive enough to always be a target for a conqueror.

It's always been an important city, yeah. And I've also heard about all the poems and stuff it inspires.
It's also supposed to be a melting pot of different cultures, partly brought about by its status as a major trading center.
Sigh... I really want to visit...

_ R _ _ _- _ _ R _ _ _ _ _ _ R _ _ _
B _
_ R _ _ _ _ _ R _
Ibby - B - 1 - May solve or guess a consonant Blacula - R - 5! - May solve, guess a vowel or a consonant and gets a prize for getting a key letter.
EDIT: Although it's in my post the extra gap between two of the words isn't showing for some reason, so I've put it on a separate line.

A little voice in my head told me R would be a popular letter last round but unfortunately they’ve gone quiet this round.
E for Echo.
