Ah well, I still have the memories. And brought a few of the best ones with me. What comics would make sure you took with you into lockdown, or that you made sure reached your desert island while you awaited rescue?

Some already mentioned that I've not read (and therefore worth checking out). I've never read any Birds of Prey (also the name of one of my RPG superhero groups when I was li'l thoth  ). I've not read any Runaway's either. Global Frequency popped into my head the other day, on another topic. Was Ellis hoping that one would be a TV series?
The Authority was an all round good package. I read those not long back, and they're a frequent read. The heroes get more and more annoying though. Millar and Quitely's run tanked it as DC seemed to get very squeamish. I'd possibly put the Ultimates on the list.
I read Form Hell when it came out, and it was engrossing enough. But It's not one I've gone back to. I think there were gluts of Ripper things around at one time, and it fell a bit foul of that.
IIRC Invisibles got a change of direction early on. I did buy it, so it can't have been that bad. Jimenez art probably saved it for a lot of months.
The Great Darkness Saga would be up there, although I'd check some of those Adventure archives to see which ones had Mordru etc.

I would also add "X-Men/Teen Titans," "Excalibur" issue 61 (Phoenix vs Galactus, by Alan Davis), "Incredible Hulk" issue 393 (30th Anniversary), and the first John Byrne issue of "Alpha Flight."

No limits, sometimes a polybagged issue will float in on the tide., and other times you'll discover the treasure chest of comic goodness under the giant X, kindly put there by the pirates. It's really interesting to see books I've not heard of, yet alone read in other people's lists. I've not heard of Shirtless Bear Fighter. I've not read Wicked & Divine or East of West either. I've just read an article on Zot. I liked the couple I've read, but it seems to have developed further as it went along. I'd have to pick out some 5YL issues too.

Is it limited to things we own? Because I'm thinking a complete run of Action would provide plenty of entertaining reading, plus a nice nest egg if I ever get rescued!

Just for Fun I'd take all of Carl Bark's Uncle Scrooge stories along with Don Rosa's Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. Great fun and great stories.

Is it limited to things we own? Because I'm thinking a complete run of Action would provide plenty of entertaining reading, plus a nice nest egg if I ever get rescued! To say nothing of being able to use the bad issues as toilet paper.

Thoth Lad, Shirtless Bear Fighter is more recent like wicked & Divine. Your mileage may vary on the type of humor, but I remember laughing out loud more than with any other comic series in years. Since then, Fraction?s Jimmy Olsen has made me laugh out loud just as much.

The early issues were a bit naive, innocent, I guess. It definitely developed later with the ?Earth Stories?.
