you got it - it was Mirage!
One reason I loved Titans/JLA so much is that nearly every character used (including every Titan ever still living, almost) and many former JLAers, had at least one scene / line which showed some personality. Nearly. And nobody had to die for it to be a great story.

that was it! The Technis Imperative. My first introduction to characters like Bumblebee, Flamebird, Argent... It really excelled in keeping a central narrative thread, while using the cast of dozens to create an epic scale without detracting from said main narrative.

I'd definitely recommend the JLA/ Titans mini, stile.
The Manhunters used a marine animal as a ship when they encountered Aqualad. But what marine animal was it?

Not a manta ray or a whale.

stile has it!
It was Jellyfish. Special, large electrically charged ones too. It was a by-the-numbers- story of sidekick proving himself through the means of his mentor being knocked out somewhere in the story. The only difference in these stories is how stupidly the mentor gets knocked out. Aquaman does OK here, and the Manhunters are a decent threat. This was only a couple of issues from Harbinger going through basically the same plot with Starfire.

Yay I won! Oh I won again? Why do I keep winning Titans trivia when it is my weakest subject? Then I have to think of another question .... OK
Superboy (Connor) and Kid Flash (Bart) are having a race to raise money to rebuild Smallville. Who wins?

Ouch. Wonder how they prevented getting stung...
LOL. I feel the same, stile, when I win a Titans Q. Like, yikes, there are only so many trivia questions I can ask about my fave Titan ever, Kole...
Um... it was a tie between Supes and Bart?

Supes? (just to eliminate a possibility, though I feel it was indeed neither Bart nor Supes...)

Ah, I thought they just cloned and genetically reengineered them. You got the code approved version of Action #780.

Some great answers but Thoth has it. Krypto raced across the finish line just before the other two and was declared the winner. Your turn Thoth.
