I really enjoyed that version of Mano being anti-war/anti-arms dealing and having his hand "charge up".
Seeing the aftermath of him disintegrating the robot portion of Tharok was a great moment.

Agreed. That version added a lot of depth to Mano, and made him stand out from being a generic villain.

It WAS Kinetix. She and Leviathan had had a flirtation going on (though nothing too serious). Some of the Legionnaires commented after though, that Kinetix could barely stand to speak to Leviathan's parents. And before the funeral proper she broke down in front of Leviathan's statue too.

Sounds familiar. A well done scene if memory serves. (Yet another prod to read the Reboot. It'll happen one day.)

It was indeed quite nice. Also nice were Gim's parents telling Winema Wazzo off for wanting to take the Legion down, saying that Gim wanted to be a Legionnaire and died a hero - and that they didn't blame the Legion at all.

Some hints. This is original continuity. Brainy has been in the United Planets Medi-Center on the island of St Croix after his breakdown resulting in the creation of Omega. Superboy came to him for aid after several other legionnaires had fallen to a new foe. After Superboy is also felled Brainy is able to arrange to leave St Croix to help but on two related conditions:

1. He will be monitored continuously by ... something.
2. ... Something else.

There's the context. Does that help trigger any memories?

Yes you have the right story. One more clue - Monitoring someone is fine but what do you do if the monitor reports they are acting ... aberrantly? Hence the second condition.

You're thinking too hard. Firstly the "monitor" was not human so in stories from this era what else might it be? Secondly, if you are concerned about a person's possible criminal and destructive behaviour and already have a way to monitor that, what is the simplest way to try and make sure he is stopped if that comes to pass?
