Michael Stipe recently revealed that, back in the day, he and 10000 Maniacs' frontwoman Natalie Merchant were more than just friends. Since NM is a fiercely private person, I would imagine she is displeased.

Privacy is important.

Facebook/ Whatsapp / Instagram are getting creepier. Facebook suggested my boyfriend's brother as a friend... and my boyfriend doesn't even HAVE Facebook. My only connection to his brother is through him... the logical connection is that Facebook picked him from my Whatsapp... Except I don't have his brother's number... so... yeah, I don't know...

I'm not active on any of these things. The need for them to harvest as much data from me as possible makes it a non starter.

I don't typically eat a lot of chocolate. When I do, my preference is in the form of Reece's cups or Kit Kats.

My big candy weakness these days is various sour candies: Sour Patch Kids, sour gummies, Sweet Tarts, etc. Sweet Tarts, unfortunately, somehow make my teeth sensitive for several days after I consume them, so I try to avoid them.

I've also gotten into a new permutation of Nerds candies called Big Chewy Nerds. They are crunchy on the outside and chewy inside. They come in regular and sour varieties. I like both, but surprisingly, I prefer the regular kind because the various flavors are more distinct.

As a child, I was somewhat obsessed with the similar shape of horseshoes to the letter "U"

Prince used "U" for "you" and "4" for "for' in his song titles.

I'm surprised Sesame Street never did a parody of "Nothing Compares 2 U" featuring the number 2 and the letter U.

Avenue Q is a very adult musical that is in the style of Sesame Street, and that's a large part of the charm.

I don't think I'd have ever heard of Ed Sheeran if he hadn't cameoed in Game of Thrones or had a supporting role in the recent Beatles-inspired movie Yesterday.

(BTW, the news link in that thread regarding Ed doesn't work properly anymore. What happened?)

I've seen a couple of Ed's music videos. They're good but I can't say he's a major favorite.

I guess whatever news website reported it decided that it was not worth keeping around for posterity. If that's the case, I agree.
